    X-factors and superstar abilities off

Is anyone else playing offline franchise with x-factors and superstar abilities turned off??
I started a few days ago, no slider edits, and I have had great games and better gameplay to this point.

I’ve considered trying this, but I do like the change and challenge of playing a team with X-factors.
Case in point, I recently played the Bears and really felt the pressure of taking on that defense. Then I played the Chiefs and there porous defense and could pretty much do as I wanted. Do you get that experience playing a team like Chicago with the X-factors turned off?

I haven’t played a team as tough defensively as the bears... playing as the patriots and so far I’ve played the Steelers, dolphins, and jets..
Against the steelers I definitely felt Shazier’s presence throughout the game.
Ended up taking 2 sacks that game, both from him.. I managed to sack Ben 3 times
Even with the X factor off Gilmore was still lockdown in all 3 with 2 picks
      Chung has 2 as well
      McCourty has 1
I’ve thrown 2 picks with brady so far

I have nothing personal against the X Factor stuff but I'm getting very enjoyable games with them turned off. I just prefer to play that way in my franchise.

I don’t mind the X factors for player vs player or arcade mode. They are good for those games with 5-6 minute quarters.
Playing franchise with 15 min quarters on sim mode I feel the game is better with them off.

I tried them on , but certain abilities ( particularly enforcer ) seemed too overpowered when playing 15min quarters.

Turned them off and am getting nice results on all pro with sliders

I like the idea in theory, the way it gives teams identity and forces your hand toward some honest game-planning, but yeah I turned them off and I don’t miss it it all.

And if we’re being honest about it, it’s a cheat/crutch at best (being told with bright flashy lights who to look out for) and a gimmick at worst - no reason a guy with 90 hit power and 94 block shed or whatever shouldn’t just be dangerous and impactful to begin with, without the flashy lights and “in the zone” stuff.

After playing several games both ways in CFM, I decided to play with them off. Other than the horrific CPU decision-making at the end of close games when they are behind, the gameplay is the best I've ever experienced. The sliders I am using certainly bring out the shine on the star players. I also love the clean screen.

Glad they made this optional so folks can choose what's best for them.

So I played with XFactor on and it wouldn't let me take the player out of the game. I was trying to rotate Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt but it wouldn't let me take out Hunt. I had formation subs set so they would play in different formation but every play I had hunt in. Then when I was winning by 35 points in the 4th quarter i took out my starters. Hunt still played though. Is that just a feature of XFactor? if it is i won't be playing with it.

How do x factor abilities turn off? Is it in settings. Because I just noticed only my abilities are turned off and not the CPU. But i think the superstar abilities are still on.

I selectively turned off most X factors. I left the QB and RB abilities on, and turned every other x factor into superstar. Also rearranged some abilities to better fit the players.

I had the formation subs to have nick chubb play and it still put Hunt in.

pre 20 and xfactors i always ran away from good defenders, put fb at hb in protection/slid protection to their side, threw vs weaker cbs or deeper if safeties were bad. at least i chose the plays aimed at doing that/subbed in formations to help that, i play offline coach mode. now its the same in 20 but worse if i dont
