    X-factor work around

Is there any way to change x-factor abilities for drafted players. I did a custom draft that I created my son as a Steve young clone. But he got all running abilities and noting for passing. If I change his play type will his abilities change? A

    2 options.

    1. You can go into edit player (in franchise mode) and switch their dev trait down to normal exit the menu and then go back and return it to X factor. You should get newly generated abilities (but depending on the stats of the player there’s on certain ones available)

    2. Retire your coach or owner and create a new user in player mode as that player. You’ll get to manually pick your abilities. Retire as the player (don’t worry the player doesn’t actually retire) and return as your coach

You need to go into the player edit screen and change the development trait to normal , exit player edit , reenter player edit and change the development trait back to xfactor. It will reroll what abilities you get.

You may need to edit the player ratings to change the archetype for the abilities that you want. (strong arm, improvisor, scrambling , field general these all have differant abilities)

After you get the abilities that you want you can change the player ratings back to what they were before.

I had no idea you could pick abilities by being the player, thanks for that tip.

Everytime I retire my created player with the ablities I want them to have, they actually retire when I go back to the coach. Is there a workaround for that?

Retire as a current player that’s low on a depth chart (ie long snapper/TE).

Doesn't seem to work, I retired as my current coach and created a new character. The new character is the created player with the abilities I want for my player. I retired as him and choice a current player to play as. When I did that my created player retired and I was stuck playing as the current player. What am I doing wrong lol?

Yeah I don’t think you can create a player, I think it has to be one already in the league. You can create one in the draft and then play as them though.

Get it for the PC and then you can edit abilities freely, even ones not normally accessible.

You still cannot edit a players X factor abilities.
