This should be a big f*cking deal for SimNation.
For those of you that don't know, the hashtags #fix2k20 and #fireronnie2k were trending most of Sunday evening and Monday.
Mike Wang decided to change the game speed, which we know Da_Czar was against (as far as making any changes before everyone has a chance to actually learn the game). The post on Twitter has since been taken down.
Da_Czar got on and posted one gif: https://tenor.com/view/ok-okay-gif-5850917
Several hours later, he shuts down his twitter account: https://twitter.com/Da_Czar <= Not found anymore.
Today, the game speed has been changed back to its original state + a small adjustment: https://twitter.com/Beluba/status/11...737913856?s=20
WHAT THIS MEANS:
Da_Czar has been crucial to simulation basketball in 2K.
He has brought us new plays, new freelances, and has taught us how to play the game of basketball the right way. I've watched every video he's posted before 2k20 drop and he was dropping knowledge in every video.
He started at OS. He IS the community.
Even when I wasn't posting here, I would look at all of his content and read his tips, breakdowns, etc. He's the reason why I play sim because he taught me how to play sim.
Not a good look for 2K.
I'm not sure why he deleted his account. The way everything played out, it could be what happened above. It could be for other reasons. However, having someone like Da_Czar who constantly is droppin knowledge on how to play the game better (aka real basketball) along with the changes he's made to 2K, drop Twitter like that... it just doesn't look good for 2K as a company.
At this point, we should all be supporting Da_Czar with whatever is going on. I have no Idea how to tag him to this post but if someone knows how or knows him well enough to point him to this thread, please do so.
Da_Czar, the community has your back. Even though I wasn't there from the beginning of SimNation, you taught me a lot over several years and I hate to see something going on.
