Have only spent literally 10 minutes with it (11 v 11, haven’t touched Volta yet) but so far I’m really excited. The one-on-one thing is really noticeable in how the whole game is slowed down to allow these little battles to happen, it’s much more like real football.

Passing feels loose (in a really good way) and is a real joy.

Defending seems harder which might annoy some people but for me that’s great as it means a new challenge to work out!

Will post more when I’ve played more

If the demo feel translates to online seasons (I won't hold my breath for FUT), I'll be ecstatic.

Granted that's a pretty big ask given EA's history with demo gameplay and full-release gameplay.

Only thing I hate about demos is that games are only 5 min halfs. I haven't downloaded this years yet but I'm assuming it is the same? Excited to play tonight, I have heard some great things so far.

Played half of a Volta game. It didn't impress me,lol. Feels like the same thing NHL does with 3s or whatever it's called. It may be more fun as a couch co-op with my kids, but nothing I'm going to wake up and have to play.

Only played a single game to be fair. The slower pace is good but the game feels like an old PES game to me. (An average one at that.) The FTE seemed a little off to me, like the ball was sticking to the players regardless. Players making less runs is a noticeable improvement.

Hate the new penalty system, pens shouldn't be that difficult. And while it may just be the case of getting use to it, I dunno why they ever changed the system with just the bar at the bottom in the first place, that captured pens perfectly for me.

Either Spurs are amazing (like in real life) or the game is too easy on WC.

Overall it's good they've actually made the game feel different to 19 at least but I just can't see them keeping the slower pace for the full game lol!

Played 2 games of regular not the Volta, and, I could be wrong, but I swear the only thing they have done to "slow," the game down, is just that. They slowed the speed of the players. There might be more to it than that, but the game is set up on normal speed, and the players move like it's on slow.

If anyone messes with sliders you may understand this: when you slow the pace down to a certain point the running animations look funny.

In the demo, the pace of the players is slow, but the animations don't look odd.

I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see any player intelligence stuff they say they added, etc. It plays slower to me, and not in a "slow for build up," I literally mean the players move slow.

I always play Fifa 19 on slow so didn't notice a difference with the pace, but there definitely seems to be some subtle differences. The ball definitely feels different, seems to bounce and bobble more. Generally I'm quite liking it. Not sure about the new penalty system but I never liked the one in 19 either.

Must say, i'm impresed so far. They did slow down a pace of the game a bit. Now, you must build up a game from defending line; it's not all in sprint button and two moves and you're in a scoring position.. Love it.


As for Volta. I like the street football moves in it. It's a joy and fun game which pushes you to try diferent tricks and have fun.


I think, after a while, i'll prefer Fifa vs PES again...


Maybe the only thing for now, i noticed a few times that the ball was actong strange. Some odd physics, if i can say...


PS - don't have FIFA 19, so my observations are compared to FIFA 18...

i jumped from my PES2019 MasterLeague with a modded gameplay-patch to FIFA 20 DEMO.

WTH is this? Totally crap movements of the players, like on steroids. What are they doing?! they are moving their bodies, their legs so incredible fast. Incredibly Arcade. I'm probably simply not to used to it anymore, i guess. Man, this is really shi*t game, i thought in first place...and then later, i thought the same

But i have to say, the atmosphere is really cool!

They did a wholesale stat nerf for pace stats. That's probably what you're referring to.

Really unimpressed. But this also feels to me like a build earlier than the beta, and a number of gamechangers have posted that this is a pretty old build.

Really hoping that's the case because I'm not enjoying this.

I'll be trying this tonight. Probably mainly the Volta, as that is what i'm most interested in. I know thats in the majority for Fifa fans, but I love me some indoor soccer. We'll see how it goes.
