I'll probably never play this mode but it looks like it could be fun. Between the celeb coaches and the crazy *** colors schemes, I can see this being a big hit with kids.

Aaaaaand this is where I have no faith in this game/dev team. If monetizing is frowned upon, they gotta pull in some other gimmick to get kids to buy this. Not to mention the pic on Twitter says its a free trial for now, whatever that means...

The Deep Dive/article about it on the EA site reads like one of those commercials where there's a bunch of bikini models and car crashes and clowns and a dude on a horse and a massive battle between 2 barbarian armies, and then at the last moment, you realize they're advertising dish soap.

🤷🏾*♂️ I feel like the team has done an awesome job with these patches. Most of the things I see a majority of people complain about, they've either fixed or have worked on.

Not something for me, but before folks start getting their usual jabs in at the Dev Team/game, this is just “Squads” rebranded similar to 2K MyCourt that seemed to be received very well by that community in spite of its ongoing issues.
- not as customizable as the BBall Courts though

Naturally though, this is Madden so “everything” done will be dissected down beyond overkill vs simply saying “not for me” and moving on.

A lot of people here will probably not like that game mode, and that is fine. I'm sure the massive amount of kids that play this game will love it, however.

This mode is not for me, it's definitely geared at drawing in the younger more casual gamer crowd. I know it's probably going to catch a lot of hate on these forums but from a marketing standpoint I can see why they are introducing a mode like this. The attention spans of the younger generation are getting shorter so this mode will probably provide quick, cheap fun for the crowd it's aimed at.

Maybe if Madden had a realistic and deep franchise mode, things like this wouldn't get such scrutiny.

EA announced alongside the new mode drop that there's more franchise mode support coming to the game later this month.
