Any news about this from the developers? hearing a lot about the new dribbling systems and myplayer stuff, which is cool don't get me wrong, but nothing about changes or improvements to the post up game

Fadeaway and hook are getting their own badges and their is the dream shake badge.

if the animations dont suck then we might be in for a very good time

No not really. Nothing outside of "New animations added" a few badges and some nerfs to takeover. Follow Zach Timmerman on twitter he is usually the post guy. The lack of information makes me believe they focused more on the development of the dribbling system and put the post up game in the backseat for this development cycle.

Post scorers can also look forward to a refreshed post game with new fakes, backdowns, and moves… while post defenders will have access to an expanded post body-up system that will help them lock down spins, drives, dropsteps, and hopsteps on the other end.
