Didn’t Oakland have the baseball field back in the day in madden? Wonder why it hasn’t been put back in.

Re: Baseball Field
I'd imagine it's because because Oakland is moving next year to a new city and new stadium which the Raiders won't share with a baseball team, so it'd be a waste of time to do so.
Hypothetically this could have been a thing the NFL clamped down on as well; we know that the league won't let EA show partially full stadium bleachers. However, I think the simplest most straightforward assumption is that this feature didn't survive the transition from PS2 to XBOX 360 for Madden 06 and simply wasn't important enough to bring back into any subsequent version. -

In other words...
If you don’t keep throwing money at EA after the original $60, they don’t give a crap about you...

Re: Baseball Field
I think they are but I'm just guessing from the number of teams that have moved into football only/primary stadia over the years, they may be the last one sharing with a baseball team.Comment

Re: Baseball Field
I don't care about baseball fields particularly but if that is what the raider field looks like that is what the raider field should look like. Just one of those things that technological advances have made harder for EA to keep up with.Comment

Re: Baseball Field
Correct. After next season, this won’t even be an issue anymore.Comment

Re: Baseball Field
You are obviously new to the Madden series and how EA runs it's business model.
Again, LOL!!!Comment

Re: Baseball Field
I don't even think they still have "If it's in the game, it's in the game" as a slogan anymore.
The Raiders are playing on the baseball field this year, so the first few months of a season in the franchise mode should show the baseball field period.
That level of detail and authenticity (in this instance and many others) is not important to EA anymore.
Edit: Madden 08 on PS2 had the baseball fields (Oakland and Miami).Last edited by inkcil; 08-11-2019, 03:37 PM.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Re: Baseball Field
They haven't had them since the PS2 era where they'd be in for the first month or so in Franchise mode before reverting to normal field graphics.
I believe Oakland, Miami, and San Diego had them.Comment

Re: Baseball Field
Simple answer. Back when stuff like this was in the game EA was actually focused on making a good product. Now all they care about is selling kids more MUT packs.
Sad day of gaming this is.
