Madden 20: The Little Things
These are always one of my favorite threads. Just point out the cool little things in the game that make it special to you. For example I saw my WR do a hand fighting animation with the CB and then turn away from the DB to high point the ball and come down for the touchdown. Honestly it looked like he pushed off.

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
I was playing against the Bucs. I quickly beat the center with Solomon Thomas and was all over Winstin almost immediately after the snap. To my chagrin, he managed to slip through the tackle, but what was cool is that he appeared to maintain his composure, stepped up and immediately found the TE in the end zone. There was no wonky spin around animation or anything like that. He just kept his eyes down field and threw the pass, and it was pretty immediate, to the point that the TE was just completing his route. Right after he got smashed by Dee Ford and Nick Bosa.
Not sure if that counts, but it was a pretty spectacular, but realistic looking play.
In the same game the Bucs appeared to utilize one of the built in hot route on a run play due to my off coverage.Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
The sounds of the game are spectacular... I don’t remember these sounds before but man the way the ball sounds to tackling etc adds so much more to the game.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
One thing ive not seen anyone mention but has bugged me for years .
Ball placement of a guy being downed near ( but normally clearly just past the first down marker). In previous years, your player could be almost a yard past the first down marker before touching the ground and it would end up being 2nd or 3rd and short every single time .It never failed.
So far this year, i have seen several "close calls" as you might call them and each time i felt the ball placement was correct either i clearly got the first down or i was short . But so far im seeing the ball placement be much more representative of where he actually went down at. A very welcome change.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
I haven't played too much yet, but they did this one little thing that irked me last year:
For off ball injuries, they actually show the guy being injured and helped off the field. (Though... they need to stop reporting a torn shoulder two plays after the injury occurs). There needs to be some suspense.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
Love this. Seen a few awesome things. Most noteworthy was a player who got hurt in the preseason was later shown on the bench leaned over with his head in his hands. That really impressed me.
The PA announcer and relevant stadium music is a huge addition as well.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
Idk if there is player specific pass rush moves, but Joey Bosa got a sack off a move that look so realistic. I watched it like 5 times
It was the one where he rips with his right arm, then uses his left arm to shove the line man's hand off. Basic move, but something look unique about it.
I've only played with the Chargers defense, so I'm probably trippin lol

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
One thing I like this year is once you score a TD as long as you are on your feet they give you the option to run around freely with the player you score with briefly before you choose to celebrate.
So I scored with Zeke and ran a lil towards the fans in the stands and I let Zeke choose the celebration instead of manually doing it myself and he choose a signature celebration that I saw him do in real life when he ran towards the stands, now this could have all been a coincidence but man I replayed it a solid 5 times lol. Oh and the fact that I could watch it in replay was a big plus too.Last edited by cthurt; 07-26-2019, 09:33 AM.Comment

Naw you aren't trippin I def. saw some different moves playing with Bosa compared to when I played with Demarcus Lawrence. So far this game has me checking replay often just to make sure I saw what I saw not used to Madden having clean animations but I welcome it.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
In QB1 (finally got a game that didn't end in a freeze tie) my rb got upset with me because i barely gave him any touches. Really cool feature.
EDIT- lol the goal was for him to get 10 touches and 100 yards. He had about 15 touches for 130 yars and he messaged me after the game about how he failed to get 100 yds... #MaddenFailLast edited by PhillyPhanatic14; 07-26-2019, 10:12 AM.Comment

Re: Madden 20: The Little Things
Here's a post that I made in the Impressions thread (re: PA Announcer) that makes sense here:
More of a "little thing" than full on detailed gameplay impressions, but the new PA announcer is long overdue and really awesome.
So far, I've heard him say every (real-life) player's first and last name, even obscure 5th string receivers. And a nice touch to include some enthusiastic calls of player names after big plays like some stadiums in real life.
Stitching is great too, which helps the announcements have the flow of a real life sentence. Nice to hear so many full names, too.
I mean, small detail but it helps immerse you in big moments and it's probably the best PA announcer in any football game. Lightyears ahead of that old guy they've had since the early PS2 days.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Speaking of, I'm also glad they get forward progress correct now. Last year, you would go across the first down line, then get pushed back behind the line, they would not give you first.Comment

Dak kind of reaches out with his left arm and stiff-arms the guy, who doesn't wrap up well. They both kind of awkwardly stumble-bounce away from eachother.
That's when I realize that Dak actually broke the tackle and ran forward for a first down.
I hadn't seen that animation before, but it looked very real. It was nice to see the pocket mechanics work in conjunction with new animations, then combine with an "Oh crap, I can't believe I'm still standing!" sprint for a first down.Comment
