This M20 reveal is passing the time waiting for the draft better than anything I can imagine. Love this information flood we've gotten the last 40 minutes.

“We care about it all year long, and there are phases of it. [With Madden NFL 20] we want to bring to life the ability to have decisions that can impact your franchise based on how you handle personnel, morale, teammates, and employees. That just wasn't in Madden at all. It felt like a stats management game only.”

Love the sound of that. Especially morale and teammates ...#AB84 the locker room cancer.

Ok I mreally liking these additions. Makes it feel like there will be purpose with rosters and how to build and maintain one. Interesting implementation. Can’t wait to see menus and stuff for this

This all sounds great but knowing ea, you just know 2/3rds of this probably won’t even work properly

"Patrick Mahomes now has unique animations that let him escape the pocket more quickly than his counterparts, as well as new abilities that raise his accuracy throwing on the run and across his body. Tom Brady can diagnose the defense quickly and find the first open target much faster than other quarterbacks. Ben Roethlisberger has a deadly pump-fake that can disrupt your coverages and spring his receivers open."

I like their goal of making the CPU AI play more like their real-life counterparts. That would be huge if it worked.

As a Steelers fan who has seen the headaches locker rooms can cause, I couldn't be more excited to have this in franchise mode.

More Schemes are of course great. We'll see how they've tweaked the scheme fit aspects.

I'm very surprised and pleased that the NFL let them add disruptive player personalities to the game. I would have bet the farm that kind of stuff would never come back.

The Scenario Engine, Superstar skills, and X-Factor players have a chance to revolutionize the single player vs CPU experience IMO. 70 new abilities is incredible for one dev cycle.

The ability to update the Scenario Engine during the year is huge too.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I’ll just be happy if they let us sim each game individually instead of simming one week at a time and making 32 team control easier to do instead of spending half an hour setting it up.

And add a manual injury system ala 2K and the Show

Dare I say it, it almost reminds me of some of the things NBA 2k does with its MyGM mode.

Madden has been "just" another game for me after being a staple of my gaming library forever. I havent bought it at launch in 3 or 4 years. I dont even visit this forum anymore as I dont play nor really care for the game (or the perpetual back and forth...). This isn't much, but they have my attention. I am now excited to see what they come with now after not giving a damn about the game in a while.

*After reading the article again, I'm full on excited. I'm going to preorder the game whenever they release the franchise blog. I'm a realist, I know it'll probably be buggy or unbalanced. It might even be underwhelming (last year was). But I like them acknowledging franchise mode and at least trying to do something with it. I'll do my small part in the way that matters and speak with my wallet.*

With what AB pulled this offseason they were left with no choice

But honestly this is fantastic news and a refreshing change of pace. I held off on purchasing MLB The Show 19 at launch for the first time in ages since they did not make any meaningful changes to franchise mode. If the adjustments here are legitimately substantial I'm absolutely buying Day 1 to show that there are those of us out here who will take a deep and more in-depth Franchise Mode every day of the week over a new card each week in MUT.

I agree. I'm surprised they even broached a topic like AB and unhappy players, let alone try to emulate it in Madden. It's easy to be pessimistic. I do believe that its warranted with Madden. I also believe in giving credit where it's due, though. If you're gonna put legit effort (not all of it) into a mode I enjoy, and build on it over the years, I'm more than happy to support it.
