Quitting Fights: DNFs Need Attention

The DNF penalty need to increase.

I fight a guy all the time (BboyAplus123) and anytime he is getting submitted or even gets taking to the ground (sometimes) he just quits.

He is far from the only guy that does this.

I have been matched with him about 40 times (which is another issue that needs to be addressed) and he has probably quit over half of our matches.

I suggest that all DNFs get count as a submission and there should be a temp ban for repeated DNFs.

DNF drops their ranking points significantly, so just keep winning and you should stop playing them. But I agree it should result in a temp ban, and the matchmaking has a lot of issues, from being paired up against the same guy who you beat, or who has beat you, repeatedly, to getting nothing but trash-tier red bar matchups for 10 minutes at a time.

There are tons of guys that quit out when I match with them because they know they got grapple****ed last time. I agree it should be a submission or at least that something should be done to prevent our subs being turned into tko victories.

I don't think we should ban for quitting too much though, it doesn't hurt us because we still get a W and move onto the next one.

What i'd like to see is an "unskippable" cut-scene that humiliates the player.

If you're on the feet when the player quits, his character does a "Waving off the fight" kind of motion, and if you're on the ground, he visually taps the ground repeatedly.

While this is happening, the crowd boo's as loudly as possible and the commentators say something about the fighter being a quitter and coward. It'd be great if the winner can quit out of this cut-scene, but the loser can't... he HAS to watch it and the only way to avoid watching it is by turning off the game and restarting.

That's what i'd like. UD3 had something very similar to this.

One can hope though.

Edit:

The win should ALWAYS count as a submission anytime someone quits. Not a TKO.

Maybe a verbal submission animation/scene? And a "SUB (verbal)" result on the record. I'm not seeing them have the commentators berate someone who decided to throw in the towel though, they certainly wouldn't do that in real life.

I report them for quitting early but also screenshot the “ connection to opponent has been lost” lol, I have a huge trophy collection on my page...

It does hurt us though, we get like 2 points maybe for the dnf win and a lot of these guys are doing that intentionally for that reason... it also takes away your kos or subs in our record....

I personally don't have such an issue with people who quit, I'm just wondering: I know they take a massive point hit for quitting, but I'm not sure the winner takes a lot of points for it, do they? I don't think they do, in fact, don't quote me on that but I think I got a grand total of 2 pts after a DNF win once. So yeah, maybe that should be looked into too.
