Is it just me or are Roster Updates not happening as frequently as they used to?

The latest roster update (ratings updates i mean, not just trades) was like a month ago. Didnt they used to be weekly?

I was wondering about this as well. Last 2 updates were on 10/30 and 11/15. I feel that it should be at least every 7-10 days solely because of Online Play. I jist don't want them to just wait on trades to update rosters.

I'm waiting for next update to start MyCareer. I want the adjusted rosters. 2k tends to overrate players early or after big or bad performances. I think a quarter of the season is a good indicator to how a player will perform rest of season.

Mostly because I just finished Red Dead 2. I'm hesitant to start just because there are another 2 games I want to play first. I only play one game at a time.

I'm hoping roster update is this week. I'm off this weekend and want to start playing since after March my playing time will be very limited

last year roster Updates came out once a month. the year before it was, where they did them more often.

but Yeah, it's Not like they are changing much besides 3pt shooting and intangibles...

I think monthly attribute updates is solid. It avoids the small sample size and "fools gold" of so many hot streaks or instances when a guy just has a good game. We even have player of the month awards. Weekly based-only-on-highlights roster updates is what killed Madden.

I know. My thing is mainly for rookies and breakout players
They tend to overrate players after a few games. Like 2k17 when Embiid was making 3's, they had his 3pt rating up to Mid-80s. Or last year with Donavan Mitchell and dunk. I think he had a low dunk rating. Then after dunk contest, they had it up to high 90s. They over exaggerate ratings just to boost up Overall.

While i certainly appreciate them giving Luka a hefty boost, they nerfed DSJ a bit, but the Mavs bench is criminally underrated this year. JJ has been playing lights out since last year as our best bench player, hands down. It's a shame he only has pick and roll silver with no Dimer or even Lob City Passer bronze.

Speaking of badges, Dorian Finney-Smith has none and very pedestrian defensive ratings. They ticked up his 3 pointer since the beginning of the year, but his defense has been stellar the last few years off the bench and when he was starting. He's also listed as 6'8 when he's way closer to 6'9-6'10.

Dwight Powell still doesn't leap out of the gym like really does. And Maxi Kleber needs a huge boost to his other defensive ratings beyond shot blocking. I saw him 1 on 1 more than i did anyone on the team against Harden. They doubled when Wes Matthews was on him.

like i said, they only Change 3pt and intangibles ratings usually. and regards to wrong heights: they can only use Information found on nba.com. if finney-smith is liste as 6'8'' He will be that size Ingame.

Pretty much this. You'd be hard pressed to see changes in defensive ratings, speed/athleticism, FT, strength etc. If you want a rating boost you need to up your jump shot percentages or else you'll get the imaginary bump from an increase in intangibles
