This thread is to create a list of ideas for tutorials and basics of basketball using 2k footage to help others in the community. Shoutouts to Jerseyreign,Lorenzo,24Letter who made previous ones before.


A tutorial on the basics of getting good looks offensively. Knowing all of the freelance sets, How To Read the help defense etc.


Any questions that need to be answered or need any video requests then post on here. I will check this daily and give a response as soon as possible. We are a Community so if I can't answer it but someone else can then let's answer it so we can help others out.

I saw a guy pull it off. Looks like a moving shot right in front of the ft line. I will ask him.

I need help on defense. I even made a two way sharp but I notice online guys can just hold me down. When I try, I use RT and the right stick but it doesn’t seem to have the same effect. The guy I was playing was sharp play maker so he didn’t have better defense stats then me. Any tips would be appreciated

I've seen a few guys say that the loose ball interactions are still mostly won by the offense. Be aware that this isnt a long animation playing out, you have to be a participant (press square) to win the battle for the ball...

Can someone tell me how to do a step back and a fadeaway from the post (with my back to the basket)...

Also, how do I do a spin move from the post (used to be rotate to whichever direction is facing away from the basket.
