    The OFFICIAL Modding Help Thread

**Can this be stickied as well??**

Before these discussion threads get flooded with troubleshooting questions:

Post ONE time with any question you need answered. Anyone who can help will respond. If you don’t get an answer, DO NOT post again, there is a reason it didn’t get answered the first time.

    Be DETAILED..

Example of not detailed questions that won’t get answers:
My game won’t start with said mod
    How do you edit uniforms?

That is not detailed, explain what mod, what system, what version, what exactly you want to edit, etc.

This is NOT for game issues, just modding issues or questions on how to do something.

How do you import the rosters? I found the roster file and its not a .ros So i added that to the end and it just says "processing" when I open it with AMP and it never opens

Don't change the file extension. When going to open the file, select "All Files" instead of "Madden Files" in the dropdown on the bottom right of the file explorer. The tool is likely pointing to an older roster file format by default since it's being updated/adapted from the one for Madden 08.

Anyway, you should now see your roster files listed with everything else in your Documents/Madden 19/settings folder. Simply open the one you want and choose what you want to edit under "tools" (player edit, global, etc).

I don't have all files option, just Madden files

EDIT - I didn't have the most recent Madden AMP, works now. Thanks

I want to pull Jerry Rice off the Legends roster and put him on the 49ers roster. How could I do that with Madden amp or any other tool?

Has anyone had any luck changing arm colors? I found one place to change it under player shaders but it didn’t show up in game.

Re: The OFFICIAL Modding Help Thread

So I'm using frosty and so far have recreated University of Washingtons field, uniforms, helmets and such. However on the jersey the main numbers are still that of the Seahawks (Who I am reskinning to the Huskies) and not the new numbers i have imported to replace them, I am in the same file location as the rest of the jersey stuff, for the seahawks its the 2012 uniforms under content>Charachters>player>parts>uniforms>Seahawks >2012>numberslices, and no matter which number textures i change in number slices im not seeing anything happen when i launch. The field the rest of the jerseys all that comes up fine but I can't find the correct data to change the numbers. I figured it would be sea_jersey_2012_nav_num_col but those don't do anything. If anyone has had success replacing the jersey numbers please let me know how or if there is a different file that contains those numbers, as its really the final thing I have left for the huskies team home set. Thanks a lot hope it made sense I can clarify anything needed.

You cannot change jersey numbers. You’re not editing the texture array. You cannot edit the texture array.

So there's no way to re-texture the numbers we just have to keep whatever team we are editing has? That kinda sucks.

so i've downloaded the frosty tool, and the mod manager. i have not yet installed .NET 4.7, but i do know it's essential, can anyone explain why?

also, what tool is preferred to unzip the .RAR files? I'd like to start learning how to use everything, but i'm a bit of a details guy, so part of me wants to be sure i'm using the best tools, and also have a grasp on the small details.

Okay so yeah you cannot edit the arrays, however I found that you can replace them with existing number arrays in the game already. However I am now having the issue that no number are coming up on the jerseys. Which is some progress at least lol. I just went to another team, for me i chose the Miners which idk where they are in the game but they have a uniform option. I then exported as a .bin file and then went to the seahawks nav num array and imported the miners .bin file. It comes up in the editor with all the correct slices showing I just have to find out if theres a way to make them appear in the game now. I could be 100% off and its still not possible but it changed something in the numbers at the very least
