I really hate that. I just want to get to my settings, set my settings, and start my franchise. Why we are forced to play that stupid game before we can just do what we want to do irritates the hell out of me. It's not like I never played Madden before. I played about 5 min of it and watched absolutely no running game, Bowling ball tackles, Linebackers in the backfield before the ball can be handed off. If this is a sign of how the game is going to play. It won't be long before I put it on E-bay. It's ridiculous... So I am just going to put it on spectator walk away and let it finish so I can actually play the game. At least in 18 you only had to play for 2 min.. Not 4 6 min qts.

Why don't you just pause the game and go to QUIT GAME?

What opening game? You talking about Jags/Eagles? I didn't have to play that, but I waited until the whole game was downloaded/installed.

Ever since M25 on Xbox One, they provide you a matchup to play while your game installs. It pops up when you start the game after getting the "ready to start" message. This is totally skippable if you just wait for full install. Like I said, my game went straight to the main menu.

Yep. I had no idea what the OP was talking about. But I had the game fully downloaded more than a week before release date. I never saw the opening game.

Yeah I never got the chance to play it either. Game was fully installed by the first time I went to play

Same. I never saw the opening sequence. I just went to the "Press Any Button" screen, then had me choose my team, and then highlighted the new features.

OP, as the others pointed out, that game is just a placeholder to entertain you while the game fully installs. You don't have to play it at all, it's just there to allow you to have some fun instead of waiting on a loading screen.

I actually forgot about that. I didnt see it during EA Access 10 hours. Haven't played since official release.
