    SportsCrunch 2017-18 Rosters (PS4)

Hello 2K community! I am one of the founding members of a new group for the NBA 2K series known as Sportscrunch. We have dedicated ourselves to creating the most life-like recreation of NBA basketball yet seen on any video game system through the NBA 2K series.

For those not familiar with myself or my work, I have developed a system over the past several years that can generate accurate player model ratings for any NBA player based on their statistical results. Professional tools of the trade are used to create these results, along with my experience working within the game industry for twenty years combined with college level education in econometrics and analytics, you know you're getting the real deal. For more information on that system, I refer you to the thread: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...h-ratings.html

It is extremely important to play with the sliders from our Sportscrunch team for the best results. If you have feedback about these rosters, but you have not been playing with the provided sliders, we can not vouch for the results.

    Credits

Credit goes to Vann for his playbooks, which make up about 90% of those used for this roster.
Also credit to Woody for the use of his shot signatures.

Feel free to ask us questions or provide feedback. Transparency about the process is very important to us. I'll try to keep a running Q&A below.

Why are the overall rating values so low across the board?
This is merely a side effect of the way that the overall system works in NBA 2K. The emphasis of our way of doing rosters is the removal of bias. It's tempting to evaluate players based on what we've seen on highlight reels on SportsCenter or what some analyst may have reported through the media about a particular player, but the end result is a caricature of a player rather than the actual player himself. So, what you're seeing here is based on nothing but the actual results of the player's performance in official NBA games. The superstars still stand out, significantly in many cases, because of the accuracy of the tendencies which don't get calculated into the overall.

There are no immediate plans for this. Simply put, our team would need more people.

Hi everyone as I'm new to this forum

Sonic is this roster ever coming to XBOX One? I was really looking forward to it and as soon as I opened the post reading PS4 almost had me crying.

I’m probably going to go through and edit nationalbballa’s to the scale of this roster. Shouldn’t be too hard

That's fine, but I think we'd prefer an official DC released through our own channels. And there are a lot of undocumented nuances that would have to be understood to get it to be compatible with our system.

If you're interested, shoot me a message, we are always open to adding new members into the fold.

The PC version of this roster is still in progress. I'd say that it's about 75% through for being in a play now roster point. Wouldn't take much after that to make it MyLeague compatible. Being the only PC editor has made the progress slower on that side.
