A few questions about RTTS controls when on base...

How do I look into the outfield to see where the hit ball is going to land, I find it difficult to know if I should be stopping at second or running to third.

Is there any way to look towards your third base coach at all?

I use button base running btw.

You can use the shoulder buttons L1/R1 while running along with R2 for a full broadcast type view when the ball is in play. This also works on Defense.

Thought it was L2 for full broadcast view. This is an awesome feature if you play your base running opportunities. I've found it especially useful when I start the runner in hit and run type situations. I use it also for different views/presentations. Walkups, HR, etc.

I started using button baserunning when I was playing RTTS and never could figure out how to look at coach and see where the ball is going at certain times. I switched to analog baserunning and was able to adjust easily and see the ball at all times while running the bases. These controls are for analog baserunning:
        L1 (hold)-look at base coach
        L2 (hold)-broadcast camera
R1 (hold)-look at ball (I found this great for stealing to see how quick the catcher gets rid of the ball)
        Hope this helps.

A suggestion on the RTTS stealing since you mentioned.... take off on the catcher's first movement. When he drops his hand, shifts, etc. Second he moves I'm gone. I never look at the pitcher.

I never thought to look at the catcher. I'm going to give this a shot.

In the outfield you can click the right stick to change the view to where the ball will land. Be careful though, if you do it too early, you may start running the wrong direction after the camera quickly moves. I always run a bit and wait for the camera to start turning before I click the stick.

OK I will try that. So is the other guy incorrect about using The bumper buttons?

In the outfield those will make you throw or dive or jump.
