    2017 NFC Divisional Round

Discuss. I personally think with the Eagles injuries that Atlanta will win. Something like 27 - 10 or something.

2017 Divisional Round: Falcons @ Eagles

27-10 huh? Little ATL/PHI postseason history with that number.

I like the Eagles with decent certainty. Everyone is down on them with Wentz out and the defending NFC champs coming to town, but this has been a complete team this year. The offense will do enough, but it will be the defense that will ensure victory this week.

    Eagles 26, Falcons 12
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

The way the Falcons secondary has been playing the last couple weeks it'll be tough for Philly to throw the ball I think. It'll also be interesting to see what the weather will be like and how cold it'll be. That could very well change the way the game is played. At the moment I favor Atlanta slightly especially if they can pull off some long drives with their running game.

        re: 2017 NFC Divisional Round

Falcons defense has been lights out for the last month or so.

Comes down to how important week off is, dome teams playing outdoors in January, and whether or not you think Foles/Blount/Ajayi/Jeffery can make more plays than Ryan/Freeman/Coleman/Jones on offense.

Early forecast for Philly on Saturday is around 50 degrees, partly cloudy. So it doesn't appear to be a major factor if it's accurate.

This is still going to be one of those 20-16 games. But I'll take Atlanta. (As awful as I feel about picking a dome team on grass in January.)

Philadelphia was a pedestrian 4-3 against teams with winning records. They beat Dallas, Carolina, LAR and LAC while losing to KC, Seattle and Dallas. I don't think they'll beat Atlanta without Wentz.

                  Gimme the Saints and Falcons.

Can’t ever go wrong with a Divisional Matchup with a trip to the SB on the line, especially between those two teams.

Putting my picks in one post:

Still think Atl is going to whoop Philly. Staying with:
                    Falcons: 27
                    Eagles: 10

As for the Saints/Viking, its going to come down to Vikings Offense vs Saints Def. IMO the Vikings got the perfect defense too shut down the Saints. Front 7 can shut down the run and the secondary can shut down the pass. Keenum, Thielen, Diggs and the run game need to get going early and make long drives.

                    Im taking Minnesota:
                    Saints: 17
                    Vikings: 27

Happy I was wrong about the Falcons, and now we go play a Philly team with a backup QB. Won't be easy, but we could be looking at the 20 year rematch of Vikings-Falcons

edit - Dang 1 year off. It was the ''98 season and the game was in '99

That would be a treat. With that Sean Payton/Devonta Freeman thing, that seems fitting.

But damn, Vikes/Falcons in the 20 year rematch would be a lot of fun too!

I like all these NFC teams remaining and think the games can go either way and it won’t be a surprise. The AFC, different story.

I'm surprised to see some people liking the Eagles' chances. Sure, they're pissed about being underdogs as a #1 seed and they have a good team even without Wentz. But Foles is not the kind of QB I'd want piloting my team in the postseason. I'm pumped for Saints/Vikings, though. It should be a great game, I like both teams and I'll likely root for the winner in the SB.

                            2017 NFC Divisional Round

I’m sticking with my 26-12 Eagles prediction. People are focusing on the wrong matchup.

Saints/Vikings is going to be insane. I feel bad I jumped off the Vikings bandwagon after last years disaster, because I was big on them the year prior.

But here I am, looking at the Saints rushing attack, and their HOF bound QB, and a defense that transformed after a couple games. It’s hard to pick against that.

But I will. Minnesota may not boast the reputation or the gaudy statistics of the Saints offense, but they’re balanced across the board. They’re not relying on one single guy to drive the offense (not that Saints are either), so it could be anyone who shines: McKinnon, Diggs, Thielen, even Kyle Rudolph has quietly been a great TE for the Vikings. Lat Murray scores touchdowns like it’s no thing.

It’s the defense where I see the difference. Vikings seem loaded at every positional group. I know Zimmer can get the best out of them.

This is going to be fun as hell!

I'm wondering if Minnesota will get penalized by our stadium being too loud. Its going to be rocking.
