"Pack and Playoffs is now updated in MyTEAM! Choose between all five positions for each round you draft, and Ruby Historic players are now available to be drafted!"

I know I just said in my last thread that MyTeam is dead, but I still love that the devs are showing effort. I really appreciate that.

interesting. Do you have to start over? Probably a stupid question, but i've only played 3 games of this since release since it's been so bad. Is there a link somewhere that goes into detail?

I went to the main menus and I still had my same team so I guess you don't have to start over. I kinda want to but I'm 3-1 in the Finals lol.

Pack and Playoffs Update

I’ve played this mode quite a bit. I did find it rather awkward that you could have 5 centers running around. Thought let’s be honest, everyone has 4 guards and either The Brow or DeAndre Jordan. Except me I’m running around with players who are rated in the 70’s. Thomas is my highest - 83. Currently in the Finals of the 2nd board.

Already got Scalabrini.

From a coding standpoint, the implementation of this took minimial effort. You just set the limit of the players in the 5 different packs to their primary position. They were already doing this to adjust for rarity and released historic players. If they wanted to really make the mode great, it would be to pick one player from your collection to play with your drafted cards.

Is it just me or is the difficulty level in this mode even lower than other MyTeam games?

It just feels like Arcade Mode.

I just started this mode & I'm trying to advance but I'm getting this "This requires a complete line to play. Please edit your lineup & try again". I'm not understanding what they want me to do. Sorry to sound so noobish.

Anyone know if the players you get, your sliders, and matchups have anything to do with how much you win or is everything random? It's been mostly with boards 9 and 10, but I notice I seem to get better players (gold, emeralds, sapphires, the occasional ruby) when I get eliminated and worse players (mostly gold and silver, but sometimes bronze) on my next draft when I win the finals.

With sliders, I noticed when I win a lot of games in a row, I seem to suddenly run into a stretch where I can't make open shots but my opponent can. Or I won't be able to get away with passes (bad as they may be) that i usually do. But, when I lose 3 or 4 in a row, I seem to make everything and they shoot 35%.

With matchups, after sweeping a round or two, I feel like I'll get matched up with someone who is just a lot better than me a bunch of times in a row and get eliminated in 5 games. But, after getting eliminated I seem to get cupcakes who quit in the first quarter matched up with someone who's team just isn't as good and I'll win in 5 games.

Anyone else notice similar things or is it just in my head and everything's random?

What I've noticed the most is that I am usually better off keeping the team I have vs trying to improve positions between rounds. I have given up solid golds trying to improve only to be stuck with some crappy silver.

Equalizer is really bad before halftime. 15-20 point leads going into the last few minutes before the half just melt away with fluky things happening. Passes dropped, players come down with rebounds out of bounds, other guy makes everything no matter the defense etc etc.

I reached board 9 yesterday and drafted my first ruby in the mode.

Seems like the 4th win is always the most competitive game. Perhaps the matchmaking is better or they just adjust the difficulty to make us work harder for that last win to advance.

On board 10, haven't gotten a real reward since Scal on board one (unless you count Sapphire Kawhi which I already had).

Also, I literally get the same **** over and over in the 5 3-card packs they give us for winning the finals. Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, Steven Adams and some random shoes I never use. The rewards are so crap

Yeah I also noticed that about the last win. If the guy doesn't quit in the first quarter, it tends to be a close game.

As for the (real) board rewards, I've only ever gotten the emerald Marcus Thornton. On 9 and 10 I think I've gotten a silver or two and a few bronze, but honestly I rarely get players at all on higher boards.

The box rewards are like you guys said, but with different players. Lotta Teague, Booker, tons of Stephen Adams...

Idk I feel like I'm just playing this mode for free contracts now and anything else is a bonus.
