NBA live sales are laughable if this is true

I went to VG charts to get the September global sales numbers for nba live and 2k. 2k is at 790k while live 18 is at 60 k with no release in europe????? Is this true and if not can someone provide me with the real total . This series will be discontinued if these sales are the norm

that is basically what they did last release, they will get a bump around black friday and christmas, i would estimate that they sell 100k copies of the game.

Devs listen to feedback. That customer experience is value to me.

Unfortunately sales equal support, having little profit on an investment means the little things may not get done, people have been waiting on roster update for weeks, not acceptable.

You should worry about sales. The more the game sells the better the budget for next year's version.

lackluster sales can cancel a series. Look what EA did with mass effect . That will be the norm if the game isn't supported. Unfortunately ea has been gone to long and lost all market share. I don't need stocks in VC to see the writing on the wall

VG charts isn't a good indicator. Doesn't include digital sales and not to mention it's just a guesstimate. Look into NPD, who actually pulls the numbers from retailers if you want the actual sales figure for North America physical sale.

I doubt they give up on Live.
EA seems hellbent on making this work despite terrible sales and mediocre Metacritic ratings.

What they should be doing is rebooting the MVP series.
They would have sold 60K on release day alone.

But the NBA has a much larger market share and EA seems convinced if they throw enough money at Live they'll eventually win the market.
It's just too bad EA hasn't figured out that 2K is a really good game while their studios are incapable of making a good sports game with good AI.

Unfortunately, NPD is really confidential with info. Im signed up with them so I get to see, but i'll just say this: the #'s for Live are very lackluster. Between the 2 games, its a massacre.

I said this was they year they could have gained so much support with 2 years o development time. Give us a fully polished game with limited glitches and lots of modes and 2K's game got a lot of grief this year too, so EA really lost their chance.
