I have NHL 17 and didn’t know if there was much of a difference besides NhL Threes.

Yeah black friday is next month so I'd wait for a deal just about anywhere. If you're an offline player the AI is a bit improved, and that is enough for me to say that yes it is worth it.

I tried. Even my boys did. We all gave up on it. I'd say no...just wait. For maybe NHL 2058...

Picked it up when it was on sale on PS4. I've only had it 2 weeks and am really enjoying it. Haven't gone online yet. Have had close games and blowout games. Haven't played TGC2 since!

And this was the year I was gonna boycott EA !!

If you like Franchise Mode, I think there are a number of arguments in favor:
- Ability to turn "Morale" completely off. So less chance of real life friends having "low chemistry" and players permanently backsliding because you forgot to add them back in the lineup after an injury.
- There's a claim that there are later round gems in the draft. Just started myself, so can't confirm this. But really makes me look forward to the upcoming draft.
- Newer players Vegas, and updated logos - that weren't in the previous editions. Really, if you like developing young players...this alone can be a reason for regularly updating the game.
- Gameplay seems about the same. But I've created new sliders for 18 which are pretty wonderful for Pro level players. Have yet to see how they would apply to 17.
