    Simplified Draft Classes 2018-2022 (XB1 & PS4)

    If you want a simplified way to get most of the college players into Madden 18 for XB1 or PS4 then download this Excel spreadsheet and follow these basic steps...

    .xlsx file -->https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...EFSSWJ0dG82bnM
    .xls file -->https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_d...ew?usp=sharing

    1. After you complete your draft take a video with your phone cycling through all the teams draft picks.

    2. Using the video you took then open a new blank tab in the Excel file provided and start entering in each of the teams highest rated draft picks. It doesn't matter what round just keep the best players. Enter the Team, Player Name, Position and Overall rating. Just get between 45-55 players that you would like to see as rookies. Once done adding players create a filter on Overall rating and sort highest to lowest. Then, cut and Paste the players into their proper slots in the 2018 Draft class tab.

    For example, the highest rated running back for 2018 will be Saquon Barkley, so whichever team drafted the highest rated running back will now get assigned Saquon.

    3. Once finished entering all the information in Excel either print out a copy of your completed draft class or use your laptop to go into each teams rosters and make the necessary edits to the player names, colleges, height, weight, skin color, ratings, etc...

    4. I will typically give only a few players (maybe 2-3) Superstar ratings but then leave all the other players random for development.

    5. I most likely won't be making any new versions of this file so feel free to do so yourself. If you want to see a different player or change some of the overall ratings then go for it. It's a good starting point and I've spent a lot of time so far. Now it's time to enjoy the game!

    Cheers,

      I added a .xls file link for Excel 1997-2003. My gues is the .xlsx file might not work if your version of Excel isn't newer.

        I was saying that the link itself wasn't loading up. Nothing to do with what version of Excel that I am using. Haven't even gotten that far yet. I will try the link(s) again. Thanks.

            Franchise Mode Update #1

            Although it takes a good bit of time to enter all these players names and information I really do enjoy these simplified draft classes. I'd like to share a list of the highest rated prospects from the excel file at this point in my career mode. These ratings will not be the same for you so no spoilers. These overall ratings were taken at the beginning of week 11 in the 2021 season. Keep in mind I've already done 4 draft classes so it's obviously the first class that has progressed the most. I hope you are all having similar progress. Enjoy!

              How are you determining what trait to use for each player? For example, speed HB or mobile QB.

                Good question, I might revise the spreadsheet to include this... For the QB's I already know what their play styles are and just assign them traits according to mobile, balanced or pocket passer. For the HB's I like to make the big guys (225 lbs +) powerbacks, the balanced guys I prefer one cut and the little receiving backs get speed.

                  You still working on this at all? Looking to use this in my franchise.

                    I'm definitely still playing my franchise based on these draft classes and it's been the most fun I've ever had playing Madden. I would only change a few things on the spreadsheet but I haven't had the time to add a position style column or change some of the future prospects college choices. Maybe bump up some of the WR overall ratings as they don't seem to progress as well as other positions (could also be fixed with position xp sliders). That's really about it. I love the way this has played out. If you want to take my spreadsheet and tweak it the way you want with certain players declaring for this years draft or different overall ratings, etc... then go for it. I'm too deep in to go back and start over now.
