Injury Sliders
what are people finding is the most realistic injury slider settings? I've only tinkered around with injury frequency and after 10 games I can't get it right, there is always too many injuries. I put it all the way down to 5 and 3 players got injured in one game - it was even worse then at 50 (default). I thought maybe the slider was reversed so I raised it up to 75 but now every time I simulate games my players are dropping like flys.Tags: None -
Re: Injury Sliders
I don’t have a suggestion but I’m certainly seeing tons of injuries in my NYJ CFM. I’m playing cpu vs cpu so I never really know who’s injured until after the game but EVERY injury is for multiple weeks.

Game 1: Gary Harris out 1-2 weeks ankle sprain
Game 2: Jokic and Millsap out 1-2 weeks with various injuries
ridiculous.. that's on default settings btw.Comment

Nolefan - I see that you mentioned CFM - I know things can happen by mistake, but do you realize that you posted about Madden in a 2K forum?Comment

Re: Injury Sliders
I've got em at 35 across the board and in the first game of the years (cavs and celts) IT went down with a day to day ankle sprain and in game 2 (warriors v rockets) Steph and KD both are lost for 4-6 weeks with ankle injuries. Currently on game 3 (hornets v pistons) and Dwight Howard has already gone down for 4-6 also with an ankle problem. Seems ankle issues might be this year's broken nose, haha, but 3 games isn't much of a sample size.Last edited by satchmykels; 09-18-2017, 05:25 AM.Comment

Re: Injury Sliders
I've seriously seen an injury every single game so far on 12 minute quarters. Now Jamal Murray goes out. and kevin durant, in the same game. Default settings.
I think they are trying to simulate "minor" injuries, like a player goes down for a few seconds but actually RETURNS to the game fine. That happens a lot.Comment

Re: Injury Sliders
Lost three more guys before the end of that Pistons/Hornets game. And one of em I attribute entirely to the CPU's ridiculous substitution patterns...they refused to sub out Kemba Walker for Michael Carter Williams and with 45 minutes played and a 21 point lead, he finally went down hard (4-6 weeks) with yet another ankle injury.Comment

Re: Injury Sliders
sounds like others are having issues with injuries as well
I think I'm just going to turn mine off and hope they patch it or something
I'm playing as the 76ers so I guess I shouldn't really mind itComment

Re: Injury Sliders
I don’t think they need to patch injury’s but instead take a look at the wear and tear system itself. I’ve noticed in my league that only the lower extremities are effected in played games. In sims it seems to have an effect on all limbs which is why there is a variety of injuries. I’ve noticed a lot of sprained ankles and broken toes in games I play and I believe this is because the lower extremities experience wear and tear at an accelerated rate.Comment

This was an issue last year at one point too. Don’t remember if it was patched but I remember not thinking it was too bad in my franchise I played.Comment

Re: Injury Sliders
NBA 2K17 had injuries like this at release then they adjusted it and there were virtually no in-game injuries after that. Hopefully, they can find a happy medium between the two.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
