2 More NBA 2K18 Classic Teams Announced - '07-'08 Hornets & '13-'14 Pacers

NBA 2K18 is adding 16 more classic teams this year. 2k most recently revealed the '07-'08 Hornets and '13-'14 Pacers.

Which other classic teams are you hoping make the list this year?

Pacers just silly, sorry but even without Reggie you can give us a 90s Pacers team..08 Hornets is solid. Guess no 90s teams left..

I feel like it's probably going to be important to keep this quote in mind:

No team is taking the spot of another team, 2k has already put together 16 more teams for our benefit based on the rights to the players that they have been able to secure. Therefore, it is not a waste, nor is it lazy to be given the teams we have/are being given.

That said, the inclusion of the '14 Pacers very likely means that Reggie Miller has continued to refuse to allow his likeness to be used.

With three slots left, these picks also mean there's only two teams remaining who do not have classic team representative (assuming the '93 Nets are coming):

Los Angeles Clippers

Eh. My big issue is that we can't really recreate an authentic 90s team because of how different the jerseys look compared to old school teams. Maybe 2k18 rectified that on the create a team, but if they didn't we're left with Reggie and Barkley wearing baggy shorts.

I wish they'd give us retro teams without all the starters and just let us recreate the missing players.

Grant Hill Pistons as well, but I reckon Spurs 07 vs. Wizards 07 or Clippers 06 unless they decide 16 Cavs..

Grant Hill Pistons as well, but I reckon Spurs 07 vs. Wizards 07 or Clippers 06 unless they decide 16 Cavs..

Huge Pistons fan here but I've never seen the '97 Pistons ever being a likely choice. I get it for the crazy court and jerseys (and Grant Hill fans) but they were first round fodder with a pretty uninteresting supporting cast. I mean, they were sharp during the regular season but it was a lot of role players (not counting an older Joe Dumars) who all worked because Grant Hill was a magnificent facilitator.

I'd be more 10 times more befuddled by the lack of a 2000's Spurs team. Something would have had to have gone really wrong on the likeness acquisition front for them to not have a team included (like, say, Tim Duncan pulling himself out, which seems really unlikely).

Aside from the 11-12 Thunder and 07-08 Hornets, these historic teams have been a major bummer for me so far.

Looking at that list, with three teams remaining, I'm thinking we might be able to conclude that a 2000's Nets team will not be making an appearance this year. I wonder if 2K was aiming for a 2000's Nets but couldn't land who they needed, falling back on the 90's squad a replacement.

I think the Spurs still have a chance. Duncan was still in last year and Ginobili and Parker are still active. Some of those Spurs teams should be able to feature enough likenesses already in the game to make a roster. They're also historically good enough to fit as a big final reveal.

I'm pretty happy about this Hornets squad, the Mavs, Nuggets, Heat, and Knicks squads. Could do without the Pacers and Warriors especially.

Do we already have one of the Nash Suns teams? I can't remember.

I'd love to get the Arenas/Jamison/Butler Wizards team too.

Edit: Kings and the rumored Nets are awesome too
