UBISOFT
Monday June 12th, 2017
4:00pm EST / 1:00pm PST

Officially announced games -
  • Assassin's Creed: Origins
  • Far Cry 5
  • The Crew 2
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole
  • A New IP (see discussion below)
Teased/rumored games -
  • Mario x Rabbids: Kingdom Battle: It's not entirely clear if this will be at Ubisoft's show, Nintendo's show, or both
  • The Division: Ubisoft has been saying they plan to unveil The Division's Year 2 content soon
Ubisoft's New IP discussion -
  • It's not impossible this is referring to Mario x Rabbids, however, Ubisoft has noted that they have an online centric new IP coming next fiscal year that was originally coming this fiscal year, and Mario x Rabbids is not an especially online centric game.
  • Ubisoft has a new space exploration sci-fi game in development code-named Pioneer that was rebooted last year, but was teased in Watch Dogs 2. It wasn't explicitly stated this was online centric, but it would be kind of odd if it wasn't. It could be ready to show by now.
  • Ubisoft has surveyed about a new online centric pirate game that would follow up on the core concepts of Assassin's Creed 4.
  • Ubisoft has some kind of game being built with Studio GOBO, and I believe both of their new games are online centric based on job postings. This was a third person action adventure title focused on multiplayer combat.
  • It's always possible there's something else I missed here. Ubisoft makes a lot of games.
Additional notes -
  • Ubisoft's online centric Avatar game (by The Division people) will not be at E3 as it is not releasing until at least 2020.
  • It's probably too early for The Division 2 or Watch Dogs 3.
  • Rainbow Six Siege is not planned to get a sequel until well after Ghost Recon Wildlands gets a sequel, according to their last fiscal call.
  • Ubisoft has been rumored to be working on a new Splinter Cell, though it's not entirely clear how development on that is going, as we haven't heard anything in a year or so.
  • Ubisoft has said Beyond Good & Evil 2 will not be at E3.
  • Aisha Tyler will not be hosting this year, in favor of having developers host.

Waiting to see some Far Cry 5 gameplay and what's going on with The Crew 2. Never played the first one, but curious to see what's new for the second title.

Somewhat interested in The Crew 2 as im like you. Never played the first but want to see the sequel. Definitely hyped and pumped for Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Origins even though I expect ACO to debut at Microsoft's press conference. Also, im expecting the next Splinter Cell game to be shown as Michael Ironside is back in the role of Sam Fisher as he should be.

Re: E3 2017 - Ubisoft Discussion Thread

Predictions -

- Assassin's Creed Origins (trailer, long gameplay video, november 2017)
- Far Cry 5 (gameplay video, february 27th, 2018)
- Just Dance 2018 (announcement, trailer, fall 2017)
- Monopoly switch (announcement, short trailer, summer 2017)
- Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition switch (gameplay video, fall 2017)
- South Park: The Fractured But Whole (gameplay video, october 17th)
- Steep switch (gameplay video, fall 2017)
- Super Mario / Rabbids RPG switch (debut trailer, gameplay video, september 2017)
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017 update including PVP)
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege (2017 update)
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (debut trailer, short gameplay video, 2018)
- Tom Clancy's The Division (2017 final update)

As always, im pumped for Ubisoft's press conference. Far Cry 5 and Assassin's Creed Origins is enough for me but a new Splinter Cell (Michael Ironside FTW!!!) has me hyped even more and im expecting a new IP or two. Also, maybe a UbiArt game. Hoping anyway.

Re: E3 2017 - Ubisoft Discussion Thread

Ubi has the worst conferences and no Aisha Tyler this year. Going to be a bigger **** show than usual and more games that will be severely graphically downgraded by release date. Awful

Worse? No. That honor goes to EA by far. No Aisha Tyler is fine by me because after seeing her a few years in a row, her "girl wood" or whatever else she says is worn out. As long as the host isn't that horrible caffeine guy or the guy the year before him, the conference will be good.

Graphically downgraded? Watch Dogs 1 was the only one that was downgraded and I don't know why people haven't realized that the majority of games at every conference excluding the first party games are all running on high end power PC's.

More gameplay of Assassin's Creed Origins, debut gameplay of Far Cry 5, the expected return of Splinter Cell and possibly a new IP or two. Yeah, definitely not the worst.

Thus far, I have EA and Bethesda at 5/10 with Microsoft at 7/10. Easily expecting Ubisoft to hit a 7 for me if not better.

Re: E3 2017 - Ubisoft Discussion Thread

I never knew I wanted a Mario XCOM, but that looked awesome.

Was going to wait until Odyssey to try and find a Switch, but I'll start looking earlier now for Kingdom Battle.

Re: E3 2017 - Ubisoft Discussion Thread

Mario + Rabbids is the best game I've seen so far of E3. Need to play it. Now its Assassins Snooze fest.
