I see this card has a mission under the Griffey diamond missions. Any idea on how to get this card?

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
You need to get the Griffey All Star card first. You get the mission for that by beating the Reds Stronghold in conquest. Beat that and it'll start the long chain leading to the breakout card

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
His other stats aren't very good. And for many of us, this mission is the stopper on the program, since I am not great at hitting hr online and getting 10 with one card in 30 games (including games where your opponent quits, doesn't pitch to Jr., or you get mercy ruled) still count.Comment

all star griffey is serviceable enough to make most teams.only problem is his platoon-ish stats but it's not a deal breakerComment

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
How do you get all star groffey. Conquest is so confusing. I played cincy to steal fans but do I gotta get my territory all the way over to cincy in the conquest map by attackingComment

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
Yes, you have to take their stringhold and then go to the diamond program and redeem the mystery mission. Then you have to play the reds in a 9 inning game on all-star and beat them twice.Comment

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
Good to know. I saw someone mentioned them as a Conquest target for a reward, and I loaded up my team to the SE of my territory and started marching, haha. I couldn't get to TB in time, so Cincy will be my consolation destination. About to send 13m fans at the 9m in their Stronghold.Comment

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
I'm on All-Star. I'm fine if the game doesn't bull**** like it enjoys to on this difficulty though. I tried CIN on AS to steal fans before I went in, and I lost the game because my CF just didn't pick up a single rolled to him, which let it get to the wall. Now, first game in their SH, and my 1B lets an easy grounder roll past him, just total botches it. That stuff is killing me on AS more than actual performance issues (on the pitching side; I can't hit worth jack).Comment

Re: Griffey Breakout Card
Can someone please explain these ratios/stealing fans/ playing on different difficulties and do I have to march my way all the way to Cincinnati because in attack mode I played cincy in a 3 inning game and nothing happened so I'm assuming you have to beat Kansas city and spread your fan base to cincy? And then is it attack mode I have to beat them in. This mode is insanely confuaingComment

It is confusing at first but once you get the gist it is pretty simple. You can actually skip all other teams strongholds if you just want this mission.
Start marching towards the Cin strong hold. Every time you get a chance to reinforce then stack all those reinforcements on once square at the front of your march. Simulate all non stronghold games (which is why you want to stack all you reinforcements in one spot). Go right up to the Cin strong hold and reinforce that square and then attack the stronghold.
The difference in the number fans you attack with vs what they are defending with determines the difficulty you can play. I think that at that point you can just keep advancing round and reinforcing that square over and over until you get a favorable matchup.Comment
