Here is my most recent custom conference setup. Basic geographic relocation with each power 5 assigned a group of 5. Relegation at end of each season. I have tried several different relegation setups and I'm interested in seeing what everyone else uses. Post your setup!

POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
No need for all caps, but this is what I do. It's based on a Reddit post a while back and it's this alternate timeline idea. Very detailed history and kinda fascinating.

The bowl tie-ins are as follows and make sense if you read the link.

POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
Props to vgunn for coming up with this. This is what I use:
With these conferences you get geographical benefits and many rivalries stay intact. Classic rivalry games will be among the non-conference slate. This alignment also does a great job of limiting certain teams from going undefeated i.e. GT ARMY NAVY MIAMI OH SDSU, ETC. Also, there is a championship game for every conference.
For the locations of the CCG I used;
ACC: Default
American: Metlife Stadium
Big12: Cowboys Stadium
B1G: Default
CUSA: M&T Bank Stadium
MAC: Default
MWC: Sports Authority Field At Mile High
PAC12: Soldier Field
SEC: Default
SunBelt: Dallas Stadium
(=protected crossover opponent)
ACC
EAST WEST
1 Maryland 1 (Indiana)
2 Penn State. 2 (Purdue)
3 Pittsburgh 3 (Cincinnati)
4 Virginia 4 (Kentucky)
5 Virginia Tech 5 (Memphis)
6 West Virginia 6 (Louisville)
The American Conference is unique, in that it is just the top rated private universities and service academies. Notre Dame gets the bulk of it's rivalries and annual games are protected as well. So, for example, every year one of the fixed non-conference games for Stanford is Cal. Same for USC, which will always play UCLA.

Re: POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
Here is my current set up, still needs some tweaking, want to continue trend of geographical setup, I turn off all protected rivals, and will mess with bcs spots, right now power 5 conferences and at large bids.

Re: POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
I thought I had read somewhere that you couldn't change conference names or division names. Is that true for both? Or is it one or the other?Comment

Re: POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
Here is mine. I use geographical map as well. I replaced Idaho and New Mexico St. since (atleast Idaho) is leaving FBS, maybe NMst too. Replaced them with AppSt and Georgia Southern.
Some conferences have Bowl tie-in's, but not all conferences are automatically in.
And there is a rivalry game for every team who are in a two division conference. Those teams are listed next to each other. Big 12 for example:
Texas - Baylor
TCU - Texas A&M
Texas Tech - Houston
SMU - Rice
North Texas - Texas St
UTEP - UTSA
One good thing with this kind of conference is that good teams remain good, but bad teams get better. Let's say MAC, where divisions are well off balanced, as Ohio has way more bad teams than Virginia side. This has made Ohio, Bowling Green and Toledo winning teams as their overall conference status gets better. So there is way less bad teams after 5 seasons.Attached FilesLast edited by RoyMela; 07-24-2018, 06:56 AM.Comment

Here is a color map of my conferences. Gray is a state with no teams.

Re: POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
Here is my current setup.
My rules were each conference must have at least 12 teams and teams in the same state must be in the same conference.
I left Hawaii as the mandatory lone independent since they are so far away from all the other teams.
I tried to group by geography as much as possible.

Re: POST YOUR CUSTOM CONFERENCE SETUP!
All these look great!
Anyone got anything for NCAA 12? I really prefer the recruiting in that game and I want to do a coach mode relegation dynasty with that game. The problem with NCAA 12 is that you got the WAC still in there causing issues.
Anybody got a good custom conference for NCAA 12?Comment

I like this, how do you set up BCS this way? 8 spots, just make them all AT LARGE?Comment
