    Chalk Degradation

I noticed in today's stream that there isn't any chalk degradation. I know this is small but it's something that I've always liked in the past.

I have been curious about this from 1st stream. It seems none of the chalk lines is degrading this year, particularly the batter box. SDS has apparently chosen not to respond or address it.

Uniforms also don't look like they get very dirty. I noticed in the last stream when they were playing SD vs MN, Margot slid twice and looked clean when he batted the next time.

Ramon's said in the last stream where they previewed the uniforms that uniforms do get dirty. I highly doubt that they would remove chalk degradation. Maybe they have a dev widget turning it off.

I play 14' where a patch in the game removed the chalk degredation permanently, whereas at the game launch it was present. It's seems to be obviously something they have to disable in order to code certain parts of the game, but I'd expect it to make the final, optimized version.

Yeah, I asked the question during the stream, because I thought uniforms barely looked dirty in 2016. I would slide all the time and my uniform barely looked different, mostly like I gently laid down on some dirt.

Hopefully they updated the dirt color on home white uniforms so that it is not Grey. It should be brown just like it is on the away uniforms.

Definitely not seeing much chalk degradation on recent streams. It seems this happens every year.

It's there guys. I've seen it in games I've played.

No actually its not. It just depends on the game and what happens around the plate.

Everybody has the right to there opinion of course, so there is that. But I have played about 8 games this weekend and it looks fine to me.

Dirt on uniforms still looks bad to me. I don't have the game and have only been watching the streams, but uniform dirt looks really weird.

I just played a game and by the 8th inning the chalk lines were barely visible. The dirt on the uniforms is the same as last year.

I don't know what you guys were expecting, but from the streams, the dirty uniforms is still the same as it has been for many, many years.

Of course it can be improved and maybe they will make it better for next year.

Last year, Wrigley Field didn't have chalk degredation, and that was my home stadium. I hope they fixed it.
