GameStop has just posted their MLB The Show 17 MLB Monday (on a Wednesday). This is part 2 of The Little Things. If you missed part 1, click here.

• New art for all pitching mechanics, includes timing feedback.
• Improved AI logic for pitcher substitutions.
• 5 new fonts in the DD logo editor.
• 30 new legends this year.
• 11 teams now have a total of 11 uniform sets.
• New player, pitcher and rookie of the month awards in season based game modes.
• Major overhaul in universal profile with more customization, stat tracking, new achievements and all-new leveling and awards system.
• Ken Griffey Jr. will chime in on your play in Retro Mode.

Really hate the new pitching meter look.

I do love that they added vs r/l avg against for the pitcher introductions.

1) These improvements are nice. Hearing about the hit variety has yet to get old.

2) I feel like the meaning of "The Little Things" has been lost here.

Improved AI Logic for Pitcher substitutions!

That could be big!

Hopefully this fixes some of the dumb pitching moves by the CPU managers. Like for example when the starting pitcher is absolutely dominating you and shutting you out with only giving up like 1 or 2 hits and under 70 pitches thrown in like the 6th inning and they pull him after giving up just 1 hit!

Or another example where they pull their lefty for a righty when facing a left handed bat or vice versa.

Or one more example where the CPU leaves the stating pitcher in with over 100 pitches already thrown with a lead of like 9 to 2 in the 9th inning!

If all these types of things will be greatly improved I will be so happy!

And actually for 17 I hope each team managers manages the game differently!

Totally agree and everytime I look at it I keep thinking maybe it's not finished yet? Anyway MLB The Show 16 Pitching Meter looks much better.

Totally agree and everytime I look at it I keep thinking maybe it's not finished yet? Anyway MLB The Show 16 Pitching Meter look much better.

I think it looks pretty sharp IMO, I dont like the feedback but the meter itself I like better than 16, just like changing the scorebug to white just freshens its up to me anyways.
