    NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread

I know there's a mycareer thread , but it's not really the same. And since I haven't ever seen anyone make a thread like this in these forums I figured I would just for the people like me who actually do player locks since they took out creating a legend. Too start off , I plan on starting a myleague and downloading the 2017 draft class and player locking Lonzo Ball once he gets drafted . Anyone planning a player lock or already have one ?

Re: NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread

Hopefully this thread gains some traction I have done a few player locks with a created player. Did one with a SF based on LeBron got drafted #1 overall by the Magic but I never got too invested in that one so I dropped it.

The main one I have I came up as the 6th man for the T-Wolves then going into my 4th year was traded to the Heat where I blossomed into a superstar. Now in year 6 or 7 and I just won MVP averaging something like 30-6-8 and we made the playoffs as the 3 seed.

I intentionally modeled the career path around James Harden as well :P

This sounds like something I want to do..how do you guys start? Do you put your guy in the draft class and sim the first year?
Apparently you can't change your username.

I've always thought that Player Lock careers are the most realistic and best way to play a career mode in 2K! Glad this thread exists!

Yep, that's pretty much the basics of it. There is a lot more to it as you go as far as handling free agency and things like that but it's fairly straightforward.

Yeah you can use a cyberface if you make your guy in the roster creator. You can just edit an existing player. Then you can either put him in FA or sign him to a team.
