    Big Men Rebounds

I've actually been enjoying the game since the patch 1.05 after implementing my own HoF sliders. That being said, I've been unable to tune down the number of rebounds for big men.

Teams have been averaging between 85-95 shots per game against me, so a little bit above the average, but I'm still seeing extremely high rebounding numbers, despite altering sliders.

Through 15 games, Noah and Porzingis are both averaging 11.7 rebounds per game for me. For reference, Noah and KP are averaging 7.6 and 6.6 rebounds per game respectively.

Jonas Valanciunas had a 28pt/21reb game against me and Andre Drummond had a 20pt/28reb game, making these guys look like Wilt Chamberlain-lite.

I'm going to try to move the game speed a few notches to lower the shot attempts, but if that doesn't work I'm out of ideas. Has anyone else had success with this?

I think this isnt fixable and is just part of the dynamics of this game

To be fair Drummond has a few 20 and 20 games and even had a 28 rebound game last year

oh I know. But watching Noah/KP continually pull 15 boards and average nearly 12 per game is a little concerning. Then when Drummond, Val, and Robin Lopez bring down 20+ boards against me on a consistent basis just adds to the issue

Yeah not enough long rebounds pushed guards reb numbers too low.

Im seeing slow teams put up 75-80 FGs and faster teams over 85. If you're playing ML, edit individual player 'pull up in transition' tendencies much lower. This is easier post-patch. Make sure your foul sliders result in both teams shooting roughly 20-25 FTs.

In my MY I have Jordan averaging about 15 rpg, Griffin 8rpg and the guards 3 or less.

I said and stand by this:

You don't choose where to jump, you just magnetically jump toward the ball. So you mainly get in a proper position under the rim, hopefully seal the other guy, and explode into the air. It's not a long rebound issue IMO because you can catch a ball that would be a long rebound as a C.

Again: watching real ball you see how rebounding actually is. Sometimes people get these huge skying rebounds, but in general rebounds seem to be closer to the ground involving tipping, pushing, etc. Cuz if you are fighting for position, it's not realistic to just explode and grab a rebound with your head near the rim.

You might think that would still make bigs rebound better, but no because the ball would go over them or to the side of them.

Rebounding, esp contested rebounding, should be drastically reduced in terms of vertical and area you can rebound (That is, people rebounding their whole wingspan diameter or more, given you automatically jump toward the ball.)

              Good point.

Although you often see players getting grounded rebounds when there are locks up under the rim.

Im sure they'll add more layers with this new physics engine as the years go on.

Which again, is why you rarely see Looseball and over the back fouls in this game as the rebounding engine is whack. In real NBA games there is much more competitive action for boards.
