I finally hit for the cycle the other night in RTTS and I was surprised that I got no extra training points after the game. It didn't even give me the "Hitting for the Cycle" trophy you get in your achievements. Was this a bug?

The cycle trophy will not pop in RTTS. If you read the trophy description for that particular trophy, it states "excludes RTTS."

I really have a problem with the cycle in this game... If the Player of the Game finishes 3/4 short of the cycle, even if they get their 3rd leg in the last AB, Karros will ALWAYS SAY "well, he finished just SHORT of the cycle", as if it's such a let down... Even if he had 2 HR instead of the triple.

Then, when you GET the cycle, on the player of the game screen, Karros makes NO MENTION of it! I always thought saying a player is just short of the cycle was annoying, but I just had to laugh when I saw that when you actually get it, he has nothing to say about it.

Just another reason why they are in desperate need of new "analysts" and waaaaay more lines of commentary.

You get points for the cycle at the MLB level the first time you do it, not in the minors.
