Week 4: Carolina Panthers (1-2) @ Atlanta Falcons (2-1)

Carolina looks to bounce back again after a disappointing loss to an undermanned Vikings squad. Cam has been beat up badly in 2 of the 3 games, but I don't think Atlanta has the horses to do what Minny and Denver did to him. I think the offense looks more like the one against SF than in weeks 1 or 3.

Atlanta will surely come ready to play as they can put a little distance between themselves and the prohibitive divisional favorite early on. Atlanta ended Carolina's undefeated season in the Georgia Dome last year. Will that provide extra motivation for the Panthers? It doesn't seem like it has, but you never know what the team is discussing internally.

The Panthers defense played well against Minny, but struggled against Denver and SF. Atlanta has a lot of talent on the offensive end, and Matt Ryan is playing really well so far.

I've been way off with my predictions thus far this season, but I'm gonna keep on keepin on.

Carolina 37, Atlanta 28

Michael Oher had been entered into the concussion protocol (for reasons unknown to Rivera) and has been ruled out for Sunday.

This is bad news because it means either Remmers moves to LT, which is a scary thought, or Darryl Williams or Donald Hawkins start at LT. Neither of those players have started an NFL game.

I honestly expect Atlanta to win. I hope I'm wrong. There should be a lot of scoring, regardless of who wins, I think.

Yeah I'm feeling less and less confident about the Panthers this season.

A stupid penalty from Cam, and Julio is abusing Bradberry so far

Refs missed a bad hold on Ealy on that TD, but Carolina's pass D was porous, to say the least.

This might have to be a 40+ point game from the offense to get a W

This could get ugly. 99 yard drive like it was nothing

Newton hasn't looked good (the missed throw to Ginn was really awful), and this defense continues to play poorly. The offensive line isn't going to help with Oher out and Remmers playing out of position, either.

EDIT: Big pick six by the defense there, though.

Needed that badly. Coleman with the pick 6
