      Re: TNK NHL17 All-Star Sliders

Here's a box score from a game I just played.....using a variation of OBG sliders with 12 min periods and game speed at 1. There are other slight tweaks as well

Should have a set posted tomorrow (most likely)

            EXHIBITION GAME

The Bruins out-shot Carolina 11-9 in the 1st period despite the Hurricanes getting 2 chances on the powerplay. The Hurricanes opened the scoring early in the 2nd period when David Krejci mishandled the puck in the neutral zone and turned it over as Elias Lindholm picked up the loose puck and beat Rask with a wrist shot for an unassisted goal to give Carolina a 1-0 lead. The Canes thought they made it 2-0 on the PP midway through the period when Jeff Skinner redirected a point shot past Rask but the referee waived it off and the video review showed that Skinner's stick was above the crossbar when he made contact with the puck and the score would remain 1-0. The Bruins had a chance on the powerplay late in the period but they were unable to generate many quality chances and when they did, they missed the net wide. The shots were even at 21 apiece as the 2nd period came to an end and the game would head to the 3rd period with the Hurricanes leading 1-0. Boston came out playing much crisper to start the 3rd period and generated some offensive chances early but Cam Ward came up with some key stops to keep the Bruins off the scoreboard as the score would remain 1-0. The Bruins killed off a Carolina PP midway through the 3rd period and were building momentum as they started to control the play. Boston would go on the powerplay with 5:48 remaining in regulation looking to tie the game but Ward came up big again as the Hurricanes killed off the penalty and the score remained 1-0. The Bruins would finally get a bounce when Ryan Spooner knocked Ron Hainsey off the puck and tipped it to David Pastrnak at the side of the net and Pastrnak was able to stuff the puck past Ward inside the post for a huge goal to tie the score at 1-1 with 3:18 to play in regulation. There would be no scoring in the final minutes of regulation and this game would head to overtime tied at 1-1 with Carolina holding a 36-34 edge in shots. The Hurricanes would win it in OT when Jeff Skinner took a pass from Nestrasil and fired a wrist shot through the pads of Rask for the game winner with 1:35 left on the clock as the Hurricanes beat the Bruins 2-1 in OT

            * This was a great game with good flow to it

            * The sliders are far from final and I will be making slight tweaks and adjustments

                  EXHIBITION GAME

The Bruins and Devils traded goals just a minute apart midway through the 1st period with Noel Acciari stuffing home a rebound for Boston and Sergey Kalinin scoring on the rush for New Jersey to tie the game at 1-1. The Bruins 4th line would score their 2nd goal of the night in the final minute of the 3rd period when Riley Nash won a puck battle behind the net and found Dominic Moore in the slot who beat Schneider with a wrist shot to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead at the 1st intermission. The Bruins would dominate play in the 2nd period and would push their lead to 3-1 on the powerplay as they worked the puck around nicely and Ryan Spooner fired a hard cross ice pass to Matt Beleskey who fired a one time past Schneider to make it 3-1. The 2nd period would come to a close with Boston out-shooting the Devils by a 25-12 margin. New Jersey had an early powerplay opportunity in the opening minutes of the 3rd period as Chara was called for a high stick and the Devils had some terrific chances but Tuukka Rask made a couple of point blank saves. Acciari was called for a hook with 47 seconds left on the penalty to Chara to give the Devils a two man advantage but the Bruins would kill it off and the score would remain 3-1. The Bruins would be shorthanded again with 9:02 to play after Pastrnak was whistled for slashing to give the Devils another PP chance and they would cash in with 1 second left on the PP as Fiddler moved the puck back to John Merrill at the point who fired the puck towards the net and Travis Zajac would collect the rebound and roof it over a sprawled out Rask to pull the Devils within a goal at 3-2 with 7:03 remaining. New Jersey had the momentum and had a flurry of chances as they pinned the Bruins in their own end resulting in a hooking call on Kevan Miller to put the Devils back on the PP with 5:14 remaining as they looked for the equalizer. Tuukka Rask made a huge save to keep it a 3-2 game when he went post to post to rob Cammalleri on a one timer and would freeze the puck with 3:42 left in regulation. Boston's PK units were gassed and the Bruins would use their timeout to get everyone rested for the final minutes as they still had to kill of the remaining 29 seconds on the PP. The Bruins caught a break when Palmieri was called for a hook with 3:16 to play and Boston would go on the powerplay. The Devils would kill off the penalty to Palmieri to get back to even strength with just over 1:00 to play and would get Schneider to the bench for the extra attacker with 0:40 remaining and had a couple chances but the Bruins would get the puck out of the zone in the closing seconds and escape with a 3-2 victory

                  * This game felt really good/smooth and had good flow

                  * I'll update post #1 of the thread with my latest tweaks

                      EXHIBITION GAME

The game got off to a rocky start for Boston as the Blues had an early PP opportunity with Joe Morrow in the box for tripping. St. Louis moved the puck around on the PP and Paul Stastny finished off a nice feed from Steen and buried a snap shot to give the Blues a 1-0 lead just 2:52 in to the game. The Bruins struggled to generate any type of sustained pressure in the offensive zone as the Blues controlled the play for much of the 1st period and Boston would go to the locker room trailing 1-0 at the end of the 1st period with St. Louis holding a 13-7 edge in shots. The Bruins came out with a little more jump in their step to begin the 2nd period but would find themselves in a tough position early in the period with Morrow and Marchand in the box with penalties when Tory Krug was called for a hook to give St. Louis an extended 5 on 3 powerplay. The Bruins were able to kill it off and get back to even strength thanks to Tuukka Rask who was standing on his head in the Boston net and made a number of key saves to keep it a 1-0 game. The Bruins continued to hang around and the score would remain 1-0 until the final minute of the period when Zdeno Chara knocked down a clearing attempt with his glove and fired a slap shot on net through a crowd of bodies in front that was stopped by Jake Allen but Jimmy Hayes was able to stuff the rebound home and tie the score at 1-1 with 0:14 left in the period. The teams would head to the locker rooms for the 2nd intermission with the score tied 1-1 despite St. Louis out-shooting Boston by a 32-20 margin. Boston came out in the 3rd period with some momentum after tying the game late in the 2nd period and had the better opportunities early on the 3rd period but the score remained 1-1. The Bruins would go on the powerplay when Jaden Schwartz was called for a slash with 12:35 left to play but they were unable to do anything with the PP and we would move past the 10:00 mark of the 3rd period with the score tied 1-1. Kevin Shattenkirk was penalized for slashing with 7:28 remaining to put the Bruins back on the powerplay and this time they made the Blues pay as Patrice Bergeron won the draw cleanly back to Zdeno Chara who wound up and blew a rocket past Allen for a huge goal to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead with 7:24 left in regulation. Boston would extend their lead a few minutes later when Krug broke out of the Boston end clean to Beleskey who came through the neutral zone with speed and fed the puck to Jimmy Hayes who used his size to protect the puck and cut to the net and stuffed a backhand past Allen to make it a 3-1 game with 3:57 remaining. St. Louis would pull Allen for the extra attacker in the final minute and David Pastrnak would finish it off with an empty netter as the Bruins put together a fantastic 3rd period and score 3 goals in the final 7:24 to earn a 4-1 victory

                      * The sliders are playing great and this was a very fun game of momentum swings as I was dominated by St. Louis in the 1st period and most of the 2nd period. I was able to hang in there throughout the 2nd period thanks to Rask who was excellent and tied the game in the final seconds of the 2nd period before turning the tables and dominating the 3rd period as the Bruins out-shot the Blues 18-5 in the final 20 minutes and came back to win 4-1

                        EXHIBITION GAME

The 1st period was fast paced and Dallas would score the only goal late in the period when Jason Spezza put a rebound past Rask and the Stars would take a 1-0 lead into the intermission. Dallas pushed their lead to 2-0 early in the 2nd period when they set up in the zone on the powerplay and Johnny Oduya blew a slap shot past Rask through a screen to give the Stars a 2 goal lead. The Bruins would get on the board midway through the 2nd period on the powerplay as they worked the puck around and David Krejci found a shooting lane and fired a shot on net that was redirected past Lehtonen by Patrice Bergeron for a goal to make it a 2-1 game with 9:20 left in the period. Dallas answered late in the period when Dan Hamhuis walked the blue line and fired a snap shot through a screen that broke through Rask to push the Stars lead back to two goals at 3-1. The 2nd period would come to a close with Dallas leading 3-1 and the Bruins holding a 17-15 edge in shots. Boston would need a big effort in the final 20 minutes as they entered the 3rd period trailing by a 3-1 score. The Stars got great goaltending from Lehtonen in the 3rd period as the Bruins had some sustained pressure at times but could not break through and the Stars would hold on for a 3-1 victory
