I cannot get pressure

I have cpu pass block on 15, a 4 man rush almost never gets pressure, blitzes will sometimes. CPU QB's have all day to throw. Do I just suck at pass rushing? I'm on All Madden btw.

I think ratings have a lot to do with it... Who are you using. I got 6 sacks against the CPU on all Madden last night with the Giants against the Cowboys.

I have yet to get pressure with a linebacker blitzing. Still trying to figure out a way to pressure the qb.

I'm enjoying the game - don't want to sound like I'm not - but this is an issue.

I can only get pressure when I blitz. My 4 man rush in non existent. I'm using the Bills who have an okay defensive line. Specifically Jerry Hughes (93 FMV), so I tried usering him & I can't even beat average tackles. Just get stone walled every time. Very frustrating.

There is def something different with the block shedding this year in both the pass and run game. For whatever reason once a blocker get his hands on me and I try to use a move, all I get is the red failed circle around my player.

Keep fighting him to get off though and try moving towards the ball carrier. Sometimes the A.I will hold me and they draw a flag.

try playing several games without considering immediate battle outcomes. play some legit football, and then after you get games under your belt, then consider the outcomes as a whole.

I will say this also. QB'S are pretty smart escaping pressure this year and either finding the open guy, getting rid of the ball or scrambling. Even when I overload one side with a blitz, I noticed russell wilson say screw that and roll out to the oposite side almost immediately and hit a target down the field for a big game.

I don't think you overreacted. I'm playing on all madden and my d-line is non existent. You either get sack or the offensive line completely dominates. There's no in between. This isn't new with EA. I thought the lines on both sides were going to be addressed. The only thing I noticed is pass rushing.

What is getting on my nerves is when neither a power move nor a finesse move seems to do anything. Power move? Nothing. Okay fine, finesse move then? *spins in place*. By this time three or four seconds has passed and the play is over, my guy still dancing with his man. This happens 80% of the time.

Pass rush just isn't very realistic this year. Well, it never has been. A lot of improvements, but I think they didn't want to make pass rush as fast as it is in real life so as to not anger casual players. It's not some form of laziness or negligence. It's just that it's a video game and people don't like getting sacked because they failed to read a defense fast enough, or move in the pocket correctly. At least that's my hypothesis. It can't all be sim, I suppose is the thought process.

Try Charters sliders its the way I seen pressure... crazy how we have to go to the extremes to get this game working right

Ratings are meaningless and have zero to do with the overpowered CPU.

If you want to get pressure, take your FS or SS and run them around wayward in the secondary after the ball is snapped for a few seconds. It throws off the A.I fo the CPU and your D-line seems to get a pass rush boost. Otherwise I feel your pain, you'll be sitting there wasting your time trying to get pressure, and I have two 80+ D-linemen vs CPU 70 rated offensive linemen with pathetic Pass Block ratings and they dominate my defensive line otherwise.

Also, if you want to take control of the D-line, ALWAYS choose the strongest d-lineman, or even if you get past the blocker, you'll get cut blocked. This is Plan B to get pressure, but be warned, when you take control of D-linemen, you trigger the CPU WR's to get open faster. It's how the game engine works. So you'll have to call the perfect play anytime you play on the D-line or you will get torched, unless the CPU receivers drop passes.
