Your Last Name In Game

Wouldn't it be cool if we could get more names included in the game so that you can hear it from the announcers? I remember a few years back MLB The Show devs asked us to submit our last names for inclusion into their game. My last name isn't very common (Favreau), so that was the first time I was able to hear announcers say my name in a game.

I'm wondering if we can get the same thing done with NBA 2K17. I'm getting tired of being called "The General"...or "Freq" for that matter. I just want to hear my last name. Maybe the devs will see this..

I would be happy with just being able to type my last name. My last name is Jewell and ever since the switch to current gen my name is treated like a curse word. I report it to 2K every year and they never fix it.

the show mlb, has been the best for names. they even ask how you want it pronounced.

would be GREAT to have that on 2k. especially for pro am

I don't think I can name a sports game where I've seen my last name in use other than MLB I think. I wish more devs sought out to get more uncommon last names in the game. Oddly enough, there are some pretty odd additions to the 2K name bank like P-Forty, DJ Whoo Kid, etc. so I don't see why they couldn't add more ACTUAL last names to the game for use.

NHL is the only game that has ever had my last name in the game and I'm still trying to figure out why it is in there.

Ive been lucky for games (not just 2k) to say my first and last name. It's so common lol

When I found out two things about Todd MacCulloch (why he was forced to retire, and his pinball fandom), I tried to re-create him in the game.

Well, guess what?

The name MacCulloch is blacklisted as inappropriate!

Seriously, try it yourself!

And I thought it was bad enough that the common surname Michaels wasn't in the game...that's not my last name, but it's so common you'd think it would be included.

My name is already in the game, I just wish you had the option to select no nickname like you used to be able to.

I'm lucky Ramos is in damn near every game, my first name isn't. Luckily Tyshawn Taylor played in the NBA.

I am from Germany. I have never had my Name in any of the US Sports game. So I am sticking with my alter Ego Jason Miller...

Slightly off topic, but they need to change how they block certain words for team names, etc.

For Pro-am I tried to create the Phoenix Suns, and Phoenix was blocked because there is a word in there that would be blocked on its own. Maybe they can include certain exceptions in that regard.

haha. named my dude "Ellis Mac"; my name isn't in the game, either, and it's not extremely unpopular. I don't think it's been in the NBA though. I still wouldn't put my real name on it, either.
