Hello all. I'm a new poster here but a long time lurker who finally decided to make an account. I have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks gearing up to have these rosters ready a week or two after Madden 17 launches.
I'm looking forward to sharing these when the game comes out, because this time period in the NFL is one of my favorites to look back on when I was a child. I'm a fan of so many players from this era and I'm excited to bring them to life in my roster.
This will be the first roster that I have ever published, but I'm going 100% into it. I'm looking to get everything that I can as accurate as it can be. This includes player names, numbers, hometowns, colleges, and equipment.
As of today (7/12/16), I have all 32 teams rosters lined out including free agents. Using Pro Football Reference, I've gathered every players' height, weight, number, experience, and alma mater. There is a lot of work still to do and it is the most difficult part. Coming up with the ratings. User Iteachpercussion has blessed me with an outline of ratings and formulas that he has used in an unfinished 2002 roster project from a year or two ago. Combining his formulas with mine and going with a tiered system for overalls, I believe I will be able to put out a great roster.
Just thought I would start a thread so I can update you guys with my progress. Can't wait to finish it.
