Madden 17 Classic Rosters

All right, it is time for me to start thinking about roster possibilities for Madden 17. I am looking for the communities thoughts on possible rosters you would like. Keep in mind I only do season rosters, not All-time rosters. The reason I am asking now is I have a lot of behind the scenes work to complete for whatever rosters I do. It takes a LONG TIME to complete the files I work with.

To give you an idea of what I am thinking and where I have done "some" preliminary work I am looking at the following: 2002, 1992, 1993, 1980, 1975

I am not locked into any of those years. I have done at least some looking into those years with a little more done on a couple of them.

Let me know your thoughts and ideas. I can not promise how many rosters I will do or how quickly they will come out when Madden gets here. But, the more work I do over the summer, the quicker the roster comes out.

1975 is my pick..the older the better.

Does not look like they included carry over saves so all will have to be done from scratch. Just brutal. Not sure why they ignore this year to year but they do.

I did a 76 season for 16 and an loving it. I also vote for 1975!!! 1980 would be ok if they have the correct Eagles jerseys for that season or if we can create them ourselves.

I also do not understand the lack of carry over rosters or at least CFMs??? I was so hoping this was the year. Is it a definite that we will not have carry overs?

Carry-over saves would be AWESOME!!! But, I am not expecting that by any means.

Ebmpd: Sorry I never got around to spending much time with your 76 roster. I looked through it a few times and played a game or two and then got caught up in other, not as fun, type of stuff.

If I do a 75 or even 80 roster, what are your thoughts on the "other" teams? For 75 I could use the old WFL which existed at that time.

I have also been toying around with doing some type of 1960s year roster for just Play Now games. Thoughts? Would anyone want a roster for just Play Now?

Regarding non existent teams in a 75 season... I'd just use fictitious players. Rate them poor to average so those teams are in the 2-6 win range so they don't compete for a playoff spot.
The '60s does not interest me.its a bit before my time. 1972 is the first season I remember. So a 72, 73 or 74 season... that would be cool. A few years back metalliccarl did a great 72 season for PS3.

Oh...absolutely!! So many HOFers in the 60's...Butkus, Sayers, Taylor, Starr, Unitas, and great teams as well...

You have me thinking about the 60's now??? If and it's a big if, but if Madden 17 has custom conferences/divisions... a 1966 season would be pretty cool! But on if there is that customization. It just wouldn't be right playing that season with the Browns and Colts in the AFL. If they do allow that... what a blast that season would be!!!

I leave the all-time/ greatest team rosters to others. I prefer to do a particular year. I know some other folks have made such rosters in years past. It just isn't my thing.

Another thought? 1978? Luv ya Blue, second half of Steelers 70's dynasty. Plus you now have SEA and TB making things more realistic having 2 less non existent teams.
