No updated goal totals in nhl 17

Again I have asked this question over and over so I submitted this question as advised on one of the pages here ask ea ....

My question will we see updated goal totals in season play in nhl 17
When a player scores will it show for instance ... Crosby (23) ?

Their answer .... You can see a players updated goal totals in the box score in the pause menu during or after a game ?

Sounds like clueless customer service more than anything - they're probably telling you how to see the info in the current game, even though you were asking about 17.

I don't think this is them implying that it won't be corrected in '17 (though that's certainly possible).

I would be shocked if it was in 17.. it's sounding more and more like the presentation is the same.

Can you post the link to the ask EA where they responded to this I can't find it on the Ask EA site. I don't see your question or response there so I may be looking in the wrong spot. Thanks

I guess I should have included the ? About updated goal total I didn't want this to sound like I knew that for a fact..... I was saying will that be in this years game ?

According to the reply I received I would have to guess no ... It's not going to be


I was also thinking they should have incorporated the little icon above a players head that showed his updated season totals that would have been so cool

This is absolutely absurd if this is not corrected this year. I simply cannot understand how something so simple that was on last gen and currently in every other sports game on current gen, not make it 3 years in a row into this game. I'm guessing that if they ignored this they will also ignore the fact that the announcers pre-game comments are more often than not, totally random and inaccurate to the current state of your team during the season. Gets annoying hearing Eddie talk about the horrible season my goalie is having when he was 3rd in the league in wins 4th in GAA and 1st in shut outs. Sloppy and unacceptable.
I so wish SONY would take on hockey. MLB the Show, those guys not only know how to make a solid game but the presentation, commentary, and stat overlays are second to none

I honestly do not expect gameplay/presentation to be much different. They will taunt the game modes over and over. I hope I'm wrong.

I just dont understand how this can be left out again this might be a small detail but its a very important one the lack of updated stats during a game is important ......

I honestly do not expect gameplay/presentation to be much different. They will taunt the game modes over and over. I hope I'm wrong.

If they can't manage something as simple as making sure goal totals show up correctly (I don't even need the announcers to be aware of it at all...) then I don't have a lot of hope for other aspects of the game.

Im not happy with the presentation improvements too.
I voiced my concerns already in Vancouver, I just dont see any presentation work done in NHL 17. They put all their "presentation" resources on customization.

I had the chance to talk with the new presentation producer, we talked specifically about why is so important to do everything in realtime (no fake pre-rendered clips). He have some great plans for the future for sure, but thats all too far. I said that those plans take another 10 years (in other words probably never happen).

I' ll ask again if there is anything little, that I couldnt see at the time of event.
I played only vs games (no season etc.), but yeah dont expect anything huge for presentation.

Are you saying virtually nothing was done to presentation? Is commentary STILL the exact same with Doc not getting excited when you score a goal? No 5 man goal celebrations etc? What is that clip they showed in the vision trailer of McDavid going to the bench and hugging his teammates?

I'm a BIG presentation guy and from listening to Ben's interviews, he said a lot of work was done presentation wise with the commentators during your season and Be a Pro mode with some cool things(which I'm sure will get old and the clips only last 5 seconds). I need/want more however, this is unacceptable.

Like i've said previously DJNEO, I'm extremely worried about this game. With the exception of tailoring the game to however we want it based on sliders(which is great), I don't know what else there is to be excited for until we see gameplay, or a demo before release. I was excited about the goalies, but then you said they move in 30 fps and didn't look different and I saw a brief replay clip someone posted on twitter that made the goalies look exactly the same.

Give us a reason to be excited for NHL 17 DJ

I have like zero excitement for this game. I want to be excited and feel the hype but I just can't. The changes are always minimal (psh if even that) in this series and it feels like the consumers voices are constantly unheard or ignored. They want to give us fluff instead of actual, useful changes to the game. At its core this will the same game I can gurantee. I can't support this anymore.
