SOTS '16 - Spliced Music & PA Project

Hello baseball brethren.

This is something i often do for myself but am considering putting a project together for fans of all other teams to enjoy, if the interest is there for it.

Essentially what I do is take the batter walk up music (from the superb CujoMatty thread), rip some high quality PA announcing from MLB.tv, cut it, edit it, bit of fading and put them together, so you have something that sounds just a little bit like this...

The best thing to do if you are interested in using these is DONT FORGET to turn the PA Announcer volume (in game audio settings) all the way down, otherwise the in game announcer will talk all over the REAL PA announcer and ruin it.

What i do is do them before i play each team in their park, saves you having to do them all at once and is very quick, takes no more than 5-10 minutes before your first game in that park and they are done for good.

These sounds have all been normalised to approx 100db, which means they sound very clear and audible in game (have your Music volume loud for max effect).

I may start to put some team packs together if the interest is high enough for certain teams, otherwise ill just do them for myself as ever.

Yes. PLEASE keep doing this! This is some incredible work. Personally, I'd love to see some of the starters from the Orioles done if you ever get the chance. Great work!!!!!

Yeah each one can take a while but as you say they sound great when done, brilliant in the game, really makes you feel you are at the real ballpark having the real life PA announcer for wherever you are.

Ill wait for any more feedback/suggestions before deciding what to do.

Going to do some more testing first as the couple i put into the game to see didnt sound great due to the way the game plays the music sounds.

If i can get it working to a good enough level ill do some packs.

I love going to Reds games and hearing their PA announcer. If there's any way you could get that guy with the Reds walkups, I'd be...thrilled is not even the word dude...!!
