NBA 2k17 Wishlist

First off, I want to be clear. NBA 2k16 is by far the best sports game I've ever played. I am absolutely loving it so far.

With that said, I'm not sure if it's way too early for this, but I have a couple things that I just wanted to point out before I forgot them.

Most of my wishlist is probably on their roadmap and most are pretty simple:

A. Create-A-Player
1. Quick 99 button - This can't be that hard. It'd just be nice to be able to flick one button to make a perfect player. It'd save me 5-10 minutes for each guy.
2. Tattoos - This is pretty obvious, but put the tattoo customization that's in MyCareer into CAP.
3. Body Types - Again, probably on the roadmap, but I think this is a natural step.

B. Team Relocation, Re-Branding, etc.
1. Increase the number of changes you can make. I understand this is due to storage space, but there has to be someway to increase it.
2. Create a Team - It'd be nice to have a create a team option outside of MyLeague/My GM

C. Sharing
1. Separate share for CAPs
2. Separate share for CATs

D. Legends Team
1. More legends: They added so many which is great, but there are of course more out there (e.g. 05 Spurs).
2. Legends Pool: It'd be cool to have a pool of all the legends as well (those that exist and those that are in MyTeam) to use for rosters.

E. Presentation
1. TNT License - Probably the least likely since they already have 3 people from the TNT show and it wouldn't be a huge deal, but it would add a level of authenticity.

I think I covered everything. Keep up the great work 2k! You nailed 2k16.

F. Potentials
1. Add a likely to reach potential slider. I think this is really needed. The best example is Zach Lavine. His initial potential is 80 (which is just preposterous). His actual ceiling is probably around a 90, but with a 5% chance of reaching that. This is where I think a slider like that would be great and would introduce some randomness.

Expand MyCourt:

- Allow for full freestyle, either quickly select offense or defense and allow for people to play 1v2, 2v1, 3v2, 5v0 etc etc

- Allow for calling plays while in MyCourt

- Allow more customization in the court, its good but lets get more going.

few ideas, especially for MYGM Relocation:

For each city, have 3 or 4 pre selected team names as well as logos/colors/uniforms (has historic ties with cities either a former team or maybe something the town is known for). That way they can actually say the name of the team name instead of just of the city

For instance:

Seattle would have SuperSonics as one of the names

St. Louis would have Spirits as a team name and maybe also Cardinals or Redbirds as a name...etc.

You can always have the option of using your own name/logos/colors etc

I would love a full Online MyGM, one with Draft, Free agency etc.

We almost got it this year but we are still missing half of it!!

Best sports game in history. Hands down.

1. Better loose ball A.I. especially on rebounds that hit the floor.
2. More and more classic teams.
3. More of the old 2k Montage flair at qtr end , player of the game, etc.
4. Love the controls especially RS defence nuances. more more more.
5. More in game tutorial and learning tools. Give big Czar some disk space to school us with some vids.
6 keep doing what u guys do. U know hoops and u know gaming. Don't sacrifice your vision for the game to appease any of us with things that can't be done to your standards yet.
7. Give us an option to have the cpu take over while we make some on the fly adjustments. Like it use to be years back.

Introduce Right Stick Advanced Controls
Press Up - Tip in Rebounds
Press Down - Backtap Rebounds
Hardpress Left - Protect ball while driving
Hardpress Right - Eurostep control direction with Left Stick
Hardpress Left/Down - Power Dribble
Hardpress Right /Down - Hipcheck


1. User Controlled tap back rebounds
6. Ability to split the defense on a pick and roll
12. Manually trigger a protect the ball animation when driving to the hoop ex marbury
13. Alley Oop spin out post position animation like Blake griffin
14. More signature walk/run animations, dribbling, layup and post up
19. Hack a Shaq strategy should only be used in the last in the 4th qtr to avoid cheesing
21. Add an animation to completely stuff a dunk at the highest point by going straight

1. NBA TNT style presentation and abc
2. Mygm add a weekly wrap up show like NFL 2k5
4. Bring back NBA playoff commercials from NBA 2k13 gets me hyped
5. Pre game presentation show players in dressing room with headphones putting on their sneakers
7. Add press conference interviews for playoffs/final games
8. Post game interviews in locker room for regular season games
9. Pre game presentation show announcers talking
10. Post game interaction with crowds throwing jersey in to the stands, high fiving fans and signing sneakers and posters
14. Pre game presentation have players rocking their suits/glasses/head phones coming to the games in the walk way area at the arena
15. Post game interviews have players rockin their signature fashion glasses/suits/watches
16. Add the champagne shower celebration in the locker room when you win conference/finals games on the road
17. Post game trophy ceremony for MVPs of all star game
18. Show the curry family watching from the stands
19. Pre game players huddled together giving motivational speeches

3. Add the towel/water boy handing players drinks and towels
4. Players subbed out should be shown drinking gatorade
5. Add security guards ex lebron bumping his head in the finals was surrounded by security guards
6. Trainer stretching players legs near the bench area

1. Players/Coaches that complain to the ref should recieve technicals
3. Players dropping accessories on the court floor for ex headbands after a hard foul
4. More highfiving teamates after trying to score on foul calls
6. During player interview segments have players wiping their head with a towel and have players change posture bending forward to hear Doris burke better due to crowd noise
8. Make games more chippy and dirtier ex after a hard foul players confront each other ref steps in to break confrontation
9. Have bench players interact with in game players walking to the bench with high fives and chest bumps
10. Add this layup animation where player leads with their knee causing an offensive foul
11. Power dribble animation after an offensive rebound or a pass

I don't really ask for much next year in terms of features.

1. Photo Scanning - Due away with the Face scanning. Make photo scanning available for MyPlayers and CAPs. Think about the draft classes!

2. Create a Teams - We should be able to make teams outside of MyLeague and MyGM. 30 slots would be cool too. Might also help with the relocation limit. Even if you allow us to rebrand teams within the roster editor, and make the change permanent, I'd still settle for it.

3. Better CAPs - Besides photo scanning, which would be optional, we need a bunch of better things for CAP. Tattoos, body types, muscle tones, mouthpieces, etc.

That's it, actually. 2K16 is near perfect.

I would add Creating a Legend, but the Player Lock in MyLeague is kinda better than CAL is, imo. Female players would be nice too, but it's not a priority. I thought they were going to add them this year, since they scanned Rachel and all (I assumed they were going to use her body type), but I guess not. They just added her shot form.

1. During a freethrow shoot you should have the option to throw the ball off the backboard or the front of the rim to get an offensive rebound
2. For players that suffer face/nose injuries in mygm they should return with a rip Hamilton facemask
3. When a player subs out of the game they should put their warm up clothes
4. Alley oop off the backboard to self ala Tracy mcgrady
5. Alley oop off backboard to teamate
7. More intense d animations player gestures to you to come bring it, or claps his hands like kg or slaps his 2 hands on the court
8. Dirty tactic badge players can hold and grab jersey on defense and on offense players can shove if abused ref will call a foul
9. Post player Re-posts
10. Players that get subed out should sometimes have towels draped over their heads or a towel on their lap
11. Animation of coach calling plays from the sideline (living world)
12. Add a finishing strength rating for players like lebron/harden/westbrook that can out muscle a player draped over their arms and still follow through with a layup/jump shot
13. Add striped headbands for guys that took a hard foul have them readjust their headband
14. Signature running animations for ex d rose sprint lebron/westbrook stride

Dang already 2k17 wishlist? I have one wish...

TNT License. Have Kenny walk back there and use his telestrator. At Half...have a music of some sort playing as the camera shifted to the 3 guys in the studio. 2k16 is a bit too quiet. Post game show need highlights. Have the guys predict whos Going to win during pregame show...mmaybe a fake version of Twitter fan votes showing on the screen. Little things like that really enhanced the experience. Oh, and the TNT logo....or even abc logo....get multiple licenses if you can.

Oh i forgot to add..the substitution menu screen need to go....it's getting boring and doesn't look appealing even last year. Some flashy looking screen w player pictures transition in special slide effects would make the eyes happy.
