Is downloading the same for disc and digital?

If so, this is a serious problem. I am pre-loading 2k16 right now and after 15 hours I am only at 40%. I've seen others downloading at a similar speed. I can't imagine those getting the disc on Friday and not even being able to play this weekend because the game is "downloading".

No if you go offline while installing off disc it doesn't take long at all. That's why I always go disc on most games. I won't have it at midnight but I'll be at gamestop as they open the doors lol

I believe I read somewhere that you can choose any team to play with during the install... not 100% sure though.
