    NHL Off-Topic thread

I felt it was time this was created... Same rules as the other off-topic thread. Mods if you feel we don't need this feel free to close it.

Barstool Sports is a sports & pop culture blog covering the latest news and viral highlights of each and everyday with blogs, videos and podcasts. By the common man, for the common man.

Great story about Jaromir Jagr and his "life" after hockey. partially NSFW for some language.

I know this was already posted in the offseason thread, but it's so GD great, I'm putting it here, too. So it can be forever saved (assuming this thread lasts)

Looking at the projected roster, Patrick Kane & Phil Kessel will be blocking shots.

This Kane stuff has now taken a movie plot twist. Evidence bag(which was somehow empty) was mysteriously left at the accusers mothers house(by her door). A door that she says she hasn't been through in over a day(since she says the last door she used was the one in the back, and the stuff was left by the front door)

Yeah, wow. This took an ugly turn, and that's saying something when the original accusation is of rape.

The accuser's lawyer just withdrew from the case.

Not comfortable with the version of the events told to him and the bag situation.

I'm not shocked in the least.

He went out and gave a press conference detailing these events before he was "comfortable" with what was told to him? Interesting...

The whole thing stinks to high Heaven.
Why wouldn't this Lead Counsel dig into the mother's story more thoroughly before calling a national news conference?

If this brown bag turns out to be a hoax orchestrated by the victim's mom, there's no way a conviction or civil case can be won.
And that'll be a shame if the victim was actually assaulted.

What a disaster this has been. This is typical and all-too-common these days, what with the political aspirations and celebrity-seeking behavior of everyone from DA's to defense attorneys to anyone involved with any potential news-making case.

In lighter news, how bout my guy Nasty Nate and that other guy Sidney?

I love John Fox press conferences.

So teams like Washington and Pittsburgh should play for the shootout and not try and win in 3-on-3? What?

Washington and Pittsburgh are two quality teams with loads of top-end talent, but they’re prime candidates for playing things conservatively in the 3-on-3 format, TSN’s Travis Yost writes
