some of these had me rolling. and most had me yelling at how the **** am i suppose to stop this. X or triangle seem to do little to nothing when the 3rd down comes in. so how do i play better pass Defense.


Rushing the QB (as seen in the video) is LOL compared to normally. in the past maddens i played. so how can i do that better?

Yep, lots of aggressive catching a goin' on. Unfortunately, I also saw several plays where breaking up the pass was a better option than going for the interception.

Interceptions are all about the ANGLE. Offensive players will usually have the advantage in that situation, and if you are going for a pick, you had better be sure you have the angle.

Now, aggressive catch can be ridiculous at times, but don't fault the game. Safety play now more than ever is important.

Dunno if you ever played football irl or online a lot but he has a great point, i dare any of you who disagree with him to go outside and have someone throw balls at you all day with no coverage and lets see how many aggressive catches one handed you can make.

Then do it with someone covering you and let me know if the game gets it right. Ijs

The second clip with Carolina was awesome. You see that lots in the nfl where the receiver rips it out of the dbs hands or vice versa. The first clip however was ********. And I do agree that in general aggressive catching should be toned down but it's Def way better with it in the game than not.

Call me crazy but I don't think the athletic experience of the average Operation Sports forum poster is analogous to that of a professional NFL wide receiver, and I don't think it's useful information with which to guide gameplay balance tuning for an NFL video game.

What? did you post this in the wrong topic? or did you nor read my topic. i asked how do i stop the things in question. but its too common where @ 3rd down some bs is being thrown in coverage and is getting caught by the WR.

I usually don't venture online, so, the only things I can think of is double the good WR with a safety(second one with Cam, the safety was real late getting there), don't play the ball, play the WR and 3, can you play run/pass commit online?

I may have played just a little bit in IRL. Just a bit.

I disagree as well. Most of these appear to be in one on one coverage. In the NFL the WR has the advantage in one one most of the time.

The ones in DC tough to say there can be such a wide gap in ratings between players in that mode.

Well you're playing online so default sliders and lower difficulty ratings are both in play. But ridiculously incredible plays make the game look like a ton of fun (I haven't played it).

BTW that Josh Groban song is beautiful and I forgot about it.
