Madden Uber giveaway today

So while I was at lunch I hopped out to IGN and saw a story posted today about how Madden and Uber partnered up and are giving away a limited amount of copies of Madden 16 early today. I'm not part of this thing, I just saw it today. From what I read (I dont think I can post the link due to TOS??) you just need to have Uber on your phone then put in the correct promotion code for your city. I think its only going on in cities that have an NFL team as there are like 32 diff promo codes and each one corresponds with an NFL teams city.

They dont say how many copies but I think its also just for XB1 because the said a few lucky people will not only get the game but an XB1 delivered as well by some former NFL player/personality. Now I sit and work and watch my phone...

Here are the codes that are in that article. I just opened up my Uber app, went to Promotions and put my code in. I saw some people in the comments over there saying drivers showed up.. but I'm guessing they did this wrong? I dunno.

Yeah it worked for me! Installing the game now. You have to keep spamming the Request button on the Uber app.

EA really stepped their marketing game up this year. Free two copies for MUT players a week early and now this for any players. That Microsoft partnership tho.

Ya I think it's a pretty awesome giveaway. They did have me make a short little video though while holding the game, and I'm still pretty hungover from the Deftones concert last night, so I hope no one sees it, hehe.

Do you get notified ahead of time or do they randomly show up?

I told a few friends here in San Diego about it, still gotta wait till 2pm though. I don't think I can participate, since I get off work at 3pm and they use your location for the ride ;(.

how long from when you put in the promotion did you get the game?
Do you get notified ahead of time or do they randomly show up?

I kept spamming the Request a Madden Driver or whatever button it's named at the bottom of the screen in the app. Finally I just got a notify from a driver and they were 5 mins out. They just came to the restaurant I was at.

Did players deliver your games? I had to send mine to a friends address cuz I'm too far from the city. (PGH) The driver was reluctant to do it, but eventually let someone else pick it up for me.

You had to enter the promo code for your city but it's too late now, it happened in the afternoon hours for each city.

It was done in every city with an NFL team. It was nothing against Canada and if there were an NFL team there it would have occurred just as it did in the USA.
