Re: Sounds like player mode in CFM could be a focus next year, what do you guys hope
I really loved Superstar mode from Madden 09, when you performed combine drills to determine your starting ratings. You would run the 40 yd dash, bench press, and do a drill based on your position. You would also take the Wonderlic Test (a shortened version) and you got to chose your agent. The higher rating you had, the more choices you had. You could choose from a family friend, to an unproven agent, to a super-agent. Every few weeks, you would also take an interview to determine your personality.
I loved this mode and I played it for hours and hours. I hope that they implement something similar in the future.GT: minibeast100

Re: Sounds like player mode in CFM could be a focus next year, what do you guys hope
It can be a focus, not THE focus for CFM hopefully. In the next two years I want to see the full fledged draft board, scores & stats tickers, weekly wrap up show, edit draft classes, renegotiate contracts with players after 30, improved halftime, new commentary with radio type guys who can get in the studio to record a ton of lines often, weather that affects games in CFM like real life, difference playing in Denver in Sept. vs Dec. A homefield advantage like NCAA but beyond so you lose composure/confidence at Seattle when you're a young QB who's inexperienced. I want to see a full injury report system where coaches designate players as probable-out and everything in between. Implement coordinators ala coach carousel with game plan and game prep.
I expect most of that if not all of it in the next two years.Comment

I would like to see players having a true player experience. From going into the draft to negotiating contracts. We want to live the life of a player on and off the field.Because I live in van down by the river...Comment

Yeah I would love to see GM interviews and things like that similar to 2k and then you have your combine & pro day workouts, prepare for the draft, then find out what team picks you and then the journey truly begins.Comment

If that is the focus then I hope they go full out on the atmosphere/fluff of the mode. Interviews, apartments, everything. Go all NBA 2K14 on it. It's the only way it'll be different and interesting enough for me to play versus being a coach.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

My wish would come true if so. I've been waiting for Madden to allow multiple player careers on one team. I want to be able to play a franchise where I'm the QB and my two buddies are my WRs. That would be sickComment

I hope they don't focus on the player cfm when the regular cfm needs so much work right now.Comment

Hey Rex threw it out there that he wanted to hear what the community would like to see and I figured we could give the team a head start as they finish 16 in the next month and start building their plan for 17.Comment

Re: Sounds like player mode in CFM could be a focus next year, what do you guys hope
Here we go:
Make players play to their ratings, and make other ratings than speed and acc important, the Patriots went after wes welker back in the day, because billiecheat said he was the one dolphin they could not cover. Big one!
All new draft Logic, make scounting count, get rid off the silly rpg style upgrading. You can't upgrade speed, acc more than one or two points in Real life, madden should reflect that.
Make personality matter. We need holdouts, players missing training, players looking for a new team ( like a contender or just money )
All new injury system. This more than often what makes or break a contender or player in the nfl is injuries. We need a wear and tear system, players with cronic problems that May end up ending their career( Sam brandford anyone and what about gurley, there should a known Risk picking him)
O-Line injuries( big one)Comment

NBA2K has their be a pro mode directed by Spike Lee. I want to see an auteur director do Madden's. I'm thinking David Lynch or Lars von Trier.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Bring back the family background from '07. Where it said your father was a NFL player comparable to player X and your mother is a former track star.Comment

Lets face it, A proper My Player is going to take more then just one cycle, since there is pretty much nothing to it as it stands right now.
If they want to make a splash in the sports gaming world they should work on My Player being a VR experience. But also have be playable to people without VR setups.
Make it so you can still sit on your couch and use the controller. Imagine dropping back as the QB and looking off the Safety (by just moving your head) and hitting your receiver on a back side post.
It would have to be an off the field experience similar to 2k or betterI <3 FootballComment
