I can understand the classic players weren't a big priority for 2k14 , 2k15.

Don't you think it's time to have a new-gen version of classic players?
It's still old gen textures,skins,faces,jerseys.

I mean,even MJ look better in the 2k11 2k12 version than 2k14,2k15 new gen.
I don't recognise him when i play with MJ
This skinny guy is supposed to be Michael Jordan

The gap between photorealism of current players and ps360 textures of classic players is way too big.
I know 2K can't facescan classic players but they definitely can do way better than that

Undoubtedly, and understandably, 2K's had bigger fish to fry the last few years than concentrating on classic team art. I don't fault them, though I wish it wasn't so.

That said, with the mention of some new classic teams coming our way this year, hopefully that falls in line with a slight re-commitment to realism with these squads, at least in terms of getting some likenesses up to par.

Praying 2k hire some more people from NLSC to do their art like they did last year when they hire people from the OS community (DaCzar) and someone from NLSC (i.e. jaosming)

I think 2k needs to bring back Horace Grant's all white goggles asap.I don't understand why are his goggles blue for those classic Chicago Bulls teams smh.

Mitch Richmond doesn't look like Mitch Richmond at all and neither does Tim Hardaway in current gen.

Oh christ. That's bad.

I think part of the problem is they can't scan all the older players like they do current players, and even the current players they can get high res photos to work with. That's a little more difficult with bench players from the 70s knicks. Even though that is one of the legendary NBA players.

But still, no excuse. They probably just skimped on crafting models because "people only care about the current players and MJ, Pippen, etc." Shaq looks ****ing horrible in this game too.

Not sure it's laziness. Just limited resources and not enough time to fix something so minor (in the grand scheme) like the faces of former NBA players.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see better faces too for those guys. I just don't think it has anything to do with work ethic.

And honestly, what is up with the uniforms??? They look painted on. The difference between retro unis and current ones is absolutely shocking. They looked so bad I had to trade all the classic players onto the current days teams to give them semi decent looking jerseys - even though the short size is annoyingly something we cannot select.

How is it last gen jerseys looked so much better than next gen? How the hell does that happen???

Notice they all look like they have generic body times and are all stupidly skinny.

This is strange. I know they are working on more legends from the one of the NBA2KTVs. I sure hope they are updating the last ones. Aside from everything costing too much, I think the legends are my biggest complaint. Have you guys seen Bird? His hair looks like something from DBZ. Also, Steve Kerr may be the most hideous creature ever created by and graphical team.

It comes down to art vs. photo-realism face scanning technology. I actually had someone on twitter ask me why we can't face scan Wilt Chamberlain.
