Anyone else playing with the commentary off?

I have never complained about the commentary before.

    But enough is enough.

I have been playing The Show since 2006.

The commentary is in need of an overhaul.

I think it would feel so much fresher if there was a new narrator.

I have turned it off in previous editions. Just now getting to listen to it and it sounds exactly the same as it has the last 4 or 5 years. One of my biggest grieps is the lack of player specific lines. One of the things that makes the commentary on other games better is that there are player specific lines. I just don't understand why they spend time recording each player's name and then barely using them. No mention of any players when giving the starting lineup. Nope, it's just "here's the Braves lineup" and then nothing but silence. And then during play-by-play it's a ball hit to short and he turns the double play. What gives?

Unlike most people I mute the audio in every sports game I play, except for big playoff games, because I have a multiple monitor set-up and I put Netflix and whatnot on one of them, which I mostly just listen to (obviously) while while I'm playing. (Before I had multiple monitors I did the same thing with my laptop.) For that reason I ignore the "commentary" section of any sports game review and don't really care how good or bad it is.

Im finding a nice balance in muting Lyons and Karros and just keeping Vasgersian on.

That way you get the Play by Play but can enjoy the sounds of the ballpark and nice ambience instead of the terrible tones of the terrible twosome.

They irritate me. I've turned them all off. It's hard to concentrate when they're prating on about nothing important.

2k15 after a 82 game season - maybe, don't get me wrong it is the best commentary out there, but sometimes take a break and maybe come back to it - but football and baseball no need for commentary LOL

This is what I do as well. Let Matty V narrate the game for me. Muting EK and Lyons provides enough downtime from talking that you can hear the sounds of the ballpark.

I do it for two reasons.

                            1. Its not as good as it could be.

                            2. It gives the game more of an ambiance. You can hear the sounds of the game better and it will make you feel you are at the ballpark.

I'm still in my experiment of hitting on legend with pitch speed at 10. So when I get up into the teens in K's, I wish the commentary was off. lol
