    player body type ?

is it possible to edit the player body types with one of the editors??

linebackers who look like they have steve urkel arms no matter how high you jack up the arm slider.. same with wr/dbs but some look like arnold??

would love some help with fixing this if possible!!

Yes, the changes of body type actually take place when changed in the editor.

There are 2 columns, one called definition and the other size.
For the smallest arms possible, i have used 10 definition and 0 for size. Scaling opposite will produce large arms. Test it out for yourself

      Re: player body type ?

following all of the roster ans editor threads i have come across the following info and have started to make mass edits.

Under arm definition always put the number 10 in there
Under arm size you will have a few choices based on what you want your guy to look like.
      FOR ARM SIZE:

1 - the typical skinny arm
      4 - cut with a little mass
5 - cut with a liitle more mass than 4
15 - super jacked...i mean super jacked...doesnt look right either
21 - big but looks real good on big defensive or offensive linemen
24 - some definition more mass but great build for rb, fb, lb, de
25 - best build in the game by far...athletic frame with mass...used for rb, fb, te, ol, dl, lb...jacked wr or db

good luck let me know if you have any other questions..

also you can do a mass edit in the excel and import it back in based on every position as well.

BSAA is arm definition = set it to 10 for all playesr no matter what
      BSAT is arm size = numbers can be 1, 4, 5, 15, 21, 24, or 25..

Again this is info I came across, I don't take any credit for it, just cant remember who originally posted it.

Once these edits are made, do the new recruits all look OK? Or do you have to load the file up again and do a global edit every season?

You would need to perform the operation on each new recruiting class.

Well I decided to try this out and it totally works. Thanks to the guys who posted the guides and the techno genius types who cracked and designed the editors.

Any suggestions as to a global edit approach?

When you export the file from the Dynasty Editor to Excel you lose the headings. Anyone take note as to which columns are the arm definition and size columns?

                      Re: player body type ?

Just used the Dynasty Editor mass edits button... duh. No need to export at all. Added +3 to arm size for everyone at that seems to have done the trick for the most part. Maybe there's somebody in my NCAA somewhere with silly skinny arms, but I haven't seen him yet.

And just as a note, as to those suggestions above, pretty spot on. That said, I do find size 21 a little small for DTs and interior linemen - for them if you want the guy to look jacked I'd go with 21. Size 21, to my eye, is the real 'big arm' setting. I actually really like 6 defintion and 21 size.

                      Defintion/Size
7 and 4 decent for qb
8 and 0... actually looks ok for safety/wr (but I go minimum 3 for size)
7 and 5 = decent midsized arm for 210ish lbs (nice for FS, big WR)
                      7 and 8 = decent RB arm
8 and 5 good for fs, big cb
7 and 15 good for TE and LB and jacked RB/FB
10 and 24 - decent for lb, rb, fb, smallish de (but I find too small for bigger OL and DT and big DE)
10 and 21 = big arms (good for DT and OL)
6 and 21 looks really big, like it

And it takes, literally, two minutes. Well worth it - it's so nice recruiting knowing whoever you sign will look decent. It had been a decade of worrying that I'm going to have to recruit two in each position and then keeping the better build, or finding workarounds like recruiting seven defensive tackles and changing their positions and ratings so you don't have a team of noodle-armed players.
