Tips on running the ball?

Trying to get better at running the ball from shotgun formations, so looking for tips on how to do that. My passing game is already solid (passing is just a matter of setting yourself up to make easy reads), so that definitely helps get men out of the box, but I still have trouble running the ball. I found two plays I like, but the suction tackles and ridiculously quick block shedding, coupled with botched assignments always mess me up.

What is the consensus on turbo? Use it? Minimize it? Don't use it at all? Does it actually have any effect on block shed?

Re: Tips on running the ball?

I've actually picked up a lot of passing concepts pretty easily, but not run concepts. I played OL in HS and my freshman year of college, so I know how the blocking schemes SHOULD work, but it never seems to work right. On the zone runs it usually does, but for trapping? In theory, it should give you huge running lanes with easy blocks if they don't blitz and you do it to the 3 technique side, but Madden guys jsut whiff.

Don't use Turbo right away, wait until u see a hole or lane then use it.

best tip i could give you is to run out of 3 WR sets to spread the LBs to play the slot. that leaves the defense with one less tackler. if the LBs stays in the box...then you should have a good play to the slot WR. only time i use heavy set are when i need short yardage or running out the clock

I do this and the delayed turbo as said above, but all that goes down the ****ter when the DL/LB warp tackle me and shed their blocks in half a second.

What difficulty / slider set are you using?

Re: Tips on running the ball?

It's still hit or miss but I have overall success running from the gun. Draws on 2nd long are often successful. Buck sweep. Inside zone. Zone read. Give my HB a few carries from various sets then go zone read from the gun.

I never use turbo till in the clear, and usually buy my head down and lunge forward to daylight rather than making cuts behind the los. I never use the jump cut. Always go to the precision truck at the end of runs
