Why do contested jumpers continue to go in?

I've seen this happening over and over again. You play good defense and got right in front of the offense, throw both hands up but they still make those jumpshots. I saw a couple of times when I have two guys contesting, the offense still make the shot. Something like this never happened last year.

Because sometimes contested jumpers go in irl.

It happens less on All-Star and Pro though.

Exactly. Because in real games, contested jumpers do go in sometimes. It's realistic. There are plenty of broken things about this game, but the gameplay and balancing ain't one of 'em.

This. Except that it happens more on any setting below SS - and the game was balanced with SIM settings active as well. The non-SIM setting might also have a higher number go in. IDK.

I know contested shots go in now and then but when it happens 3/4 times and results in a swish. Something is wrong. He'll I'm more fed up with how contact layups go in like I'm not even there

            It's like we're playing a different game.

What game modes / Difficulty you play ?

I'm having the same problem. My gm all-star and Kendrick Perkins was knocking dow contested pull ups. Wouldn't have even have mattered since the computer gets every offensive rebound.

Yeah the running down the clock to the last second and hitting the contested jumper is normal now.

Have you tried sliders to lower the efficiency of shots/layups going in during contact for the cpu?

Some ppl will defend this games flaws to the death. Contested shots go in at a high rate. The CPU misses nothing under rim even when bumped. Teammates still do dumb crap.

Yeah,we get it,contested jumpers go in sometimes. With that being said, they shouldn't be going in every damn time. Especially when it's someone off the bench who is hitting them.

CPU makes a lot of bad shots by bad players. Rules are completely different for user shot attempts. If you learn your plays and your shot releases in this game , you can definitely win on any difficulty, but that doesn't change the fact that the computer is on some (legen)dairy.
